The Pros And Cons Of Choosing Bluehost As Your Web Host.

Did you know Bluehost is home to over 2 million websites?
Having such an enormous customer base is enough evidence that they are doing something right. Their uptime is reliable, server speeds are good, and all of their hosting plans pack useful features for beginners and intermediates alike.
For a web hosting provider that’s known and used by people all over the world, Bluehost has but 1 data center, which is in the US. That data center powers all of their client's websites, which add up to a whopping 2 million, and is growing by the thousands each day!
Bluehost also has helpful 24/7 live chat and phone support, and you can safely try them with their 30-day money-back guarantee.
However, there are a few downsides, too, like higher renewal prices and some restrictions on the cheapest plan.
We base all our reviews solely on real data like uptime, speed, and cost.
So, without further ado, let’s inspect Bluehost and find out if they can offer the high-quality website hosting service that you need.
The Pros and Cons of Choosing Bluehost as your Web Host
Bluehost has been around since 2003, so they have plenty of experience to know what makes a hosting service excellent.
Their introductory prices are affordable, customer support is easy to reach and helpful, and you get many useful features to go with your hosting plan. In addition, they provide reliable uptime and fast server speeds.
Let’s take a more detailed look at Bluehost’s strong points.
Pros of Bluehost
1. Bluehost is easy to use.
Bluehost surprised us with their onboarding process. After completing the registration process, we logged in to the dashboard and before we knew it, clicked next a few times and then, *Boom* WordPress installed and ready to go.
2. Bluehost is fast all over the world.
Fast site load speeds are important for online businesses to be successful, and server response time plays a HUGE role in getting websites to load up fast.
With an average worldwide score of 153ms, Bluehost is one of the fastest A-ranked hosting providers we’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing. You can, no matter where your target audience lives in the world, Bluehost will deliver!
3. Bluehost got High-Performance Servers
Their High-Performance servers are only available with their pro plan, which is a lot pricier than the rest of their shared web hosting plans.
With High-Performance Servers, Bluehost allocates fewer users per server, and they give each user a file count of 300,000–this means more computing resources per user, consistent site load speeds, and less downtime caused by rogue users!
4. Fantastic Security features
You don’t want to spend days, weeks, or months, customizing and tweaking your business website to get it to look perfect and suited to rank on the front of page Google, only to load it up to discover that someone screwed the pooch and your entire website is gone.
For this, Bluehost provides its users with CodeGuard basic–at $2.99 a month.
5. Bluehost got A Buffet of Benefits
· Unlimited websites
· Unlimited SSD storage
· Unlimited parked domains
· Unlimited sub-domains
· Unmetered bandwidth
You are free to create as many sites as you want with them. And you won’t have to worry about the number of visitors to your site.
6. Support Responds Very Fast
You won’t have to worry about support in different time zones either, because Bluehost’s support is available 24/7.
Excellent job, team!
7. Good Uptime (99.97%)
Uptime is one of the most critical aspects when choosing a web host–after all, if your site is down, your users can’t access it. So, consistent uptime should be one of your top priorities when looking at hosting services.
After reviewing many web hosts, our benchmark for “good” uptime is between 99.91% and 99.93%. So ideally, we don’t want to see anything less than that.
The good news is that Bluehost easily surpasses this benchmark, comfortably keeping our test site live for 99.97% of the time during the last 6 months. The total downtime was over an hour. There were some poor months (November 2021) where the uptime was below average, but overall Bluehost kept our site up and running with no bigger outages.
Cons of Bluehost
1. Bluehost only has 1 Datacenter
I know they can perform way better if they had more data-centers.
I was quite impressed by how fast Bluehost's 1 data-center performed, and I still am.
2. Doggy Checkout Practices
3. Untrained trainees
My opinion is that Bluehost is a pretty strong hosting provider. Bluehost may not be the fastest and Bluehost may not be the best, but if you’re just looking to host a simple website, Bluehost got all the tools you’ll need to do so effectively.
