Cause of Death: Complications of Anorexia Nervosa

Developmental Regression Range: 4-5 years old

Support Needs: Limited Mobility, Selective Mutism, Trouble Regulating Basic Bodily Systems

Jadie was a hyper competitive gymnast and ballerina in life. She had potential to go pro in both, however was more keen on having a career in ballet.

Her family was extremely toxic. But where Rhea's parents were uninvolved, Jadie was smothered by an overbearing, enmeshed mother. She put Jadie up on a pedestal one moment, telling her how slim and beautiful and graceful and talented she was, just to tear her down the next. Jadie was never truly good enough. The pressure of trying to chase the approval of her mother, her toxic coaches, and the hypercompetitive gymnast and dance world eventually lead her to developing an eating disorder.

I won't go into detail, but I will say that Jadie tried many, many times to recover. However, she passed away shortly after her 19th birthday from chronic health complications brought on by the ED.

Jadie arrived rather unceremoniously to the hotel. Lucifer found her one evening sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby. The poor girl was so cold that she was literally sticking her hands and face in the fire, yet wasn't burning.

Jadie is a solid piece of jade stone. She's as beautiful as a carved Greco-Roman statue. Her hair, her eyes, her lips, her hands, only move because she wills them to. As with any natural stone, she has natural variation to her skin tone; some parts are nearly pure white, while others are a deep mint green.

She is 300 lbs of densely packed rock in a petite frame. She moves slowly, but is not in pain. She often needs walking breaks, so her stroller and adapted shopping carts are a necessity. The stone of her body audibly grinds against itself with every movement; her legs walking, her eyes shifting, even her stomach digesting food.

Jadie cannot regulate her body heat, and relies on cozy clothes, heating pads, heating lamps, and snuggles to stay comfortable. When she gets too cold, she lets out a heartbreaking cry and it takes a while to get her to warm up/calm down. She cannot recognize when she needs to eat, drink, sleep, or use the bathroom. Because of this, her main caregiver Angel Dust keeps her on a strict care schedule.

Jadie's personality is calm but content. She loves the hotel. She loves the caregivers. She doesn't speak, but follows directions very well (Charlie gives her the "Best Listener Award" every week in nursery school). She doesn't attempt to communicate, although she is very bright and in tune with what's going on around her. Her favorite toys are cars, and her favorite games are Candy Land and Duck Duck Goose. She loves the Barbie movies (animated and live action). Rhea keeps trying to fight her, but Jadie always wins. Rhea will get on top of the couch to pounce on Jadie, and Jadie just throws her across the room and goes back to playing. It's weird as hell and Vaggie can't figure out 1) what Rhea's deal is, and 2) how a baby of HERS is so bad at fighting. Seriously. Rhea can't even get a hit in but keeps going back for more.

Meltdowns

Summary: Blake has a meltdown in the hotel but luckily has Charlie to help him. @big-brother-hez is mentioned in the fic

It was the weekend at the hazbin hotel. Blake was in the lobby, having been forced out of his room because Charlie told him he needed to stop isolating. He was reading a book on the couch while the other little’s were running around. Although there weren’t many, they were still very loud. It made Blake feel very frustrated. He just wanted to go back in his room and hide away from the world. But he knew that Charlie wouldn’t like that, and he’s been a burden to her a lot lately.

Of course, while everyone was running around, playing tag, Nifty needed to vacuum. The loud noise overwhelmed him and Nifty had told him he needed to move to another couch so she could clean through the cushions and clean underneath the couch. He didn’t want to seem like he was being bratty so he moved. It felt so wrong though. He was already very comfortable on that couch and it was so weird on this couch. 

One of the littles was also in the couch area. They were quietly playing with their toys until they took out some slime. Don’t judge, but Blake had very bad sensory issues with slime. It smelled really bad to him and the texture and look made him nauseous. His heart began to beat fast as the smell entered his nostrils. He didn’t want to tell them to put it away because then he would be mean.

As everything continued to go on, he got more and more overwhelmed. It was really starting to bother him. He wanted it to stop but didn’t want to move again. Moving too many times just made everything worse. He couldn’t handle it anymore and threw his book across the room and began tugging at his hair while whimpering. His lip quivered as he tried not to scream and wail. It was annoying.

Charlie was talking to another little while this was happening. She saw a book fly across the room and knew she needed to see what was going on. The book would have hurt someone.

“Hey, what’s going on-” She turned the corner of the couch and saw Blake, clearly in distress.

“Sweetie, hey, It’s okay, what’s wrong?” Charlie kneeled down next to him. He started to pull harder on his hair and started scratching at his horns, chipping off its material.

“Hey, no, we don’t hurt ourselves when we’re upset,” Charlie lightly grabbed his hands and held them. He tried to jerk his hands away but surprisingly, she had a good grip. The kid who was playing with the slime got worried and crawled over to him. When the smell of the slime got stronger, Blake let out an uncontrollable sob. 

“Why don’t you go clean up and go to the playroom with everyone else,” Charlie told the little.

They nodded and went to clean up their stuff. Charlie turned her attention back to Blake.

“Sweetie, I need you take a deep breath,” She instructed. She didn’t want him to start hyperventilating. Hez had seen what was going on from the corner of his eye and quickly went to grab his blankie and -earmuffs. He draped the glow-in-the dark space blanket on his shoulders and put the earmuffs on him

Blake was finally able to calm down. He was still sniffly and hiccuped every now and then, but he was doing better.

“Come on baby, lets head to the nursery.,” Charlie lifted him up and carried him with an arm under his bum and his head resting over her shoulder. 

Hez had left them because Vaggie needed a little bit of help in the pool area. He did care about Blake, but he also had another little that he and Vaggie had to take care of.

Because lots of little’s had problems with feeling overwhelmed, they had lots of nurseries and playrooms. Charlie took him to the dinosaur nursery, where no little or caregiver was in there. There was a rule on the rooms too. There had to be at least one caregiver at all times in the rooms. So a lot of them had locks that only the caregivers had keys for.

She put him down on the changing table and got out one of his big fluffy diapers. She unfolded it and slid it underneath him. She taped it up and blew a raspberry on his tummy.

“All done, sweetie!” She lifted him up and set him on the padded flooring before summoning a bottle with ice water. He suckled on his bottle, the H2O soothing his sore throat. 

She got out his tummy time mat and set it on the ground next to him. He immediately crawled on it and began playing around with the fun fidgets. Usually, after meltdowns, he had this extreme burst of extra energy before crashing.

Charlie wanted him to get at least some exercise and put on a GoNoodle for him (literally my childhood). Charlie did want to get a bouncer installed but there was more important hotel stuff at the moment. He had a lot of fun until he got a bit worn out and needed to stop doing the fun dances. 

He drank some more of his bottle before babbling around. Charlie would always answer back, even though he knew she didn’t know what he was saying. 

He started to get sleepy after a bit of playing. Charlie saw this and picked him up, setting him in one of the big cribs and pulling the railings up, locking them too, making sure he didn’t fall out and get hurt.

“Mama?” He mumbled.

“Yes, Blake?”

“T’ank you…” 

Charlie smiled.

“You’re welcome, sweetie. If you ever feel overwhelmed, just tell me, please,” She moved some hair out of his face and turned off the lights. His dinosaur night light glowed in the dark room. After that hectic day, he finally felt better.

Blake And Autism

I'm not sure if i've said this before but Blake has autism. He was diagnosed in his preteens after his hell school counselor recommended he get tested (Yes, he currently is a dropout). Apparently his parents knew he was autistic from a young age but never told him because they thought it was just a phase he'd grow out of. Just to be clear, his parents didn't accommodate his needs. They used the method, "Out of sight, out of mind". -He does a lot of masking. When he first met Charlie, he tried to mask so hard, trying to seem "Normal" -after a couple of meltdowns, he had to tell the group. They didn't mind though. a lot of the other little's had it too! -He has a limited emotional battery. if he gets way too drained, he starts to slip and go into meltdown mode. -his meltdowns are very tantrumy. He will scream, cry, and pout. though they do get self-destructive. he will bite and scratch himself, as well as pull at his hair. -He has special interests. one being dinosaurs! He loves all kinds of dinosaur things and has recently taken a liking to pirates -he has issues with sensory stuff, which is why he'll mostly just be in a diaper and t-shirt. -surprisingly, he doesn't mind being wet (when it comes to diaper stuff). one of the main reasons he uses it is to self-soothe. He'll poke and squish it sometimes, liking the way it crinkles or squishes. Charlie or Hez will give him a crinkle blanket or cube, since they don't want him touching it too much (germs and stuff). -he'll spend hours doing sensory play, though he's not a big fan of sand. He does enjoy water though. the way it splashes and the weird density and pressure it has. -He'll often get obsessive over small things (you can see it in his journal entrees). he gets really worried about what others think. -his stuffed animals have to have this certain texture or he can't use them. -he gets confused easily and won't understand tones. sometimes he'll try to understand what a person is thinking and accidentally makes accusations. (That's all for now!)

First of all, Ty for asking! (tbh, I didn't think anyone would do anything or cared about Blake)

He loves to play with his toys and do crafts. He made his own pirate costume when it became another special interest. He'll come up with so many ways to make things based on his special interests.

He has a lot of figures and sensory toys. He'll sometimes play with sensory toys while having tummy time.
