WHEN LITTLE MIX performed at my Bizarre gig last month, I joked to JADE THIRLWALL that she should hook up with their latest duet partner JASON DERULO.
And my match-making skills have paid off. Jade’s bandmates have revealed she is in the early stages of dating the US superstar after sharing the stage with him at this weekend’s bash.
The Geordie star went weak at the knees when Jason gave her a wink during their performance of new single Secret Love Song on Saturday.
Then bandmate JESY NELSON let the cat out of the bag, telling me: “She’s got someone on the go. His name starts with a J. . . then a D.”
Jade then confirmed: “He’s very hot. It’s early days.”
If their romance goes well it would make PERRIE EDWARDS the only single member of the group after her split from ZAYN MALIK earlier this year.
LEIGH-ANNE PINNOCK goes out with footballer Jordan Kiffin, while Jesy is engaged to RIXTON frontman JAKE ROCHE. It’s Jesy who seems to be the driving force behind Jade and Jason’s romance.
Over a mince pie and some chocolate coins in my festive-themed room backstage at the Capital Jingle Ball with Coca-Cola, she gushed: “He’s so lovely, really, really sweet.
“He gave Jade a little wink when we introduced him on stage. There’s four of us but he looked to Jade and gave her a wink.”
Jason’s gain is NICK JONAS’ loss. The former JONAS BROTHER has been desperate to get with Jade after admitting he had the hots for her, but. . .
Jesy explained: “Jason’s a bit more manly. Nick’s a nice boy but Jason, I feel like he’d look after her. She’s only little.”
Jade’s definitely keen. She joked: “Yeah, he can pick me up!”
However, Jason will have to contend with the other man in Jade’s life — JEREMY CORBYN.
Jade caused a stir last week by tweeting her sadness at the Government’s decision to bomb IS in Syria. She told me she was “proud” of the Labour Party leader for opposing the airstrikes.
I’m sure she can talk politics with new man Jason on their first dinner date.
“Girls on Paw”- Pop sensations Little Mix’s “Salute” to Snoopy throws a little style into the mix. It’s the kind of fun, flash and flair you’d expect from the group behind this year’s no.1 single “Black Magic”.
