I like to think that the reason you have to answer a riddle to get into the Ravenclaw common room is not to prove that you know everything, but to eventually force you to acknowledge that you don’t. Someday you’ll get a riddle that you can’t figure out, and you’ll learn one way or another that it’s okay to ask for help, and that there is always more to learn. Ravenclaw to me isn’t about being smart and knowing things, so much as it’s about having a genuine desire to learn and understand.
