My Reflection
Overall this project felt very successful for me because of the skills I learned in terms of researching for a case study. I hadn't done this kind of in-depth research in relation to user experience or analysing a product, so learning this felt very valuable.
The design process itself was something I was involved in less because of the way Bryan and I divvied up the work. Because of this, the research, study, and documenting were the things I focused on. For me, this part of the process was where I gained the most experience for my future career.
In conclusion, I think that both the process document and the design solution were successful. I believe both Bryan and I created a successful solution for a relevant problem and that people would be legitimately inclined to use this app if it was developed further.

Cutting Down - Six
When completing the document, we realized we had too much writing for the limit (2500 words) so we went back through our slides and cut down on each one to meet the maximum limit (2000 words).
None of these slides had any cut-down.

I forgot to include this earlier, this is the Final Product Slide of the Nyoom App. This includes all of the wireframes and our colour palette.
This version is after the cut-down.

Prototypes Final Slide
We thought that it would be necessary to include a link to the prototype on the document. Because of this, we updated the PDF to be an interactive PDF and remove one of the prototype slides in favor of the link.

Reflection:
Nyoom is the end product of our Design Methods/Process project. It’s an app that offers easy navigation, community and social aspects, route tracking, and more. From start to finish we used the 6 stages of the UX design toolbox.
We struggled a bit when generating ideas at the start due to the lack of cycling experience. So we came up with a lot of ideas like a GPS for bikes and swappable battery stations for e-bikes. Later on, we realised that a lot of people, when going to cafes with bikes, are worried about bikes being stolen. We then started doing some research around cycling and navigation while cycling in Auckland to see if we can come up with any new ideas. After researching we found out that a lot of people were frustrated with how many apps for cycling there is and that it can be overwhelming. Our solution was the idea of making an easy and reliable navigation / locater app for cyclists.
Overall this project has been insightful and in some ways challenging. It challenged us to design something we’re not familiar with, so even just thinking about what could make cycling better was difficult. Although, by the end, we have gained skills by using the UX Design Toolbox to our advantage and understanding how the user experience of cycling could be improved.

Prototype Slides
After the concept development, we felt that it would be a good idea to include every wireframe that became prototyped in the final design of the Nyoom App.
