The Worst Advice We've Ever Heard About Hair Transplant
The Worst Myths We've Ever Heard About Hair Transplant.
A well-done hair transplant can be life-changing. In fact, it has been for thousands of men and women across the world who suffered from hair loss or a receding hairline. Many have regained their sense of self and their confidence after undergoing this procedure.
Unfortunately, we've heard some awful myths from non-professionals and professionals alike regarding hair transplants. Some of may simply be misguided, while some of these myths may be very harmful. Don't let false information and fake news keep you from making a decision. Let's examine some of the evidence first.
Transplant surgery is extremely painful
This is an extremely common myth. Many people simply assume because the process is surgical that it will be extremely painful. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Surgery on the scalp does not involve cutting into muscle, organs, or bones like major surgery that is done in a hospital often for serious health problems.
Hair transplants are often done with local anesthetic as well as sedative and many clients report not feeling a thing. You will be given painkillers to take after your procedure if you experience any discomfort. However, it is not likely that you will be in any extreme pain.
You will have terrible scarring
Some people incorrectly perpetuate the myth that you will have extremely visible scars on your head after a hair transplant. This may make you worry that wherever you go, your history of having a transplant will be obvious to people based on visible scarring. Fortunately, our method guarantees a minimal amount of scarring that will not be readily visible in your day to day life.
This is because unlike old FUT transplants which leave large and obvious scars at the back of the head, the FUE method does not.
You can only get a transplant if you are a man
Unfortunately, this is a very harmful and untrue myth. While it is true that FUE hair transplants are extremely popular among the male population, thousands of women also suffer from hair loss treatment. Women can lose hair in middle age due to hormone changes or other potential factors. Therefore, it stands to reason that many women would also benefit from having hair transplants done.
If you are a woman and experiencing balding or hair loss, don't let this myth stop you from seeking out the possibility of a transplant.
Your hair will be full and lush immediately after surgery
Many people incorrectly believe they will have a full head of hair right after their hair transplant is completed. Unfortunately, the process is actually a lot longer than that. Most are alarmed to see the new hair follicles fall out shortly after having them transplanted. But don't worry! They will grow back and be full when they return.
This is because it takes several months for the hair to grow back in and look completely normal. It some cases, it may take between 4 to 9 months for the new follicles to grow in full and thick.
You can continue to smoke and drink alcohol as you normally do

Right after any surgical procedure, smoking and drinking may restrict how well your scalp will heal. Nicotine and alcohol may hamper the results of your transplant surgery by interfering with blood flow. Therefore, it is ideal if you stop smoking for several weeks and stop drinking alcohol for around a week.
Even though it is important to get back to life as normal after your hair transplant, it is important to take care of your body as a whole so that your results will turn out for the best.
You should wait until you are completely bald before you get a transplant
This is the worst and most harmful myth on our list. While many patients incorrectly wait for total baldness, they may miss an ideal opportunity to have a very successful transplant surgery. While some people believe that hair may be transplanted from a donor scalp to their own, this is not the case. The hair must come from your own scalp. If the follicles were to come from someone else's head, they would simply just fall out and not re-grow.
A transplant is best done if you still have hair on the sides or back of your hair. It is necessary to still have some hair left in order for you to have the follicles transplanted from one place to the other.
Don't fall prey to the myths you have heard about hair transplants.
Contact Advanced Hair Studio to talk about your options for an FUE transplant and schedule a consult with one of our experts. At Advanced Hair Studio, we promise you will be treated with dignity and respect and given the best of care.

3 Things The Condition Of Your Hair Tells You About Your Health
A recent survey showed that 37% of male respondents in Dubai had experienced some form of hair fall, and an astounding 47% of women were suffering from it. A further statistic claimed that 60% of men in the UAE could expect to experience hair loss, compared to a global average of 40%.
Those are some frightening statistics. If you are among the fortunate individuals who have never experienced serious hair loss you can count yourself lucky. We’ve previously written about the severe psychological impact of balding and we can assure you that it is not pleasant. But even if you are not among the unlucky few who suffer from alopecia, you can still learn a lot about your health by keeping a close eye on the condition of your tresses. Here are three important things the condition of your hair can tell you about the state of your overall health:
Yellow dandruff could mean that you are in danger of developing Parkinson’s disease Yellow, greasy dandruff is normally associated with seborrheic dermatitis – an inflammatory skin disorder affecting the scalp, face, torso and other areas of skin rich in sebaceous glands. It is also an accompanying symptom of Parkinson’s disease. Greasy skin and limp, oily hair with dandruff have been associated with Parkinson’s for many decades now. Areas around the nose and forehead are most affected. The exact mechanism that causes seborrhea to develop along with Parkinson’s is not yet understood, but undoubtedly relates to the loss of dopamine on the functions of glands in the skin.
If you suffer from Alopecia Areata you could also be at risk of developing Vitiligo Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disorder that commonly results in unpredictable hair loss. When this disease develops, the body attacks its own hair follicles. A person’s genetic makeup, combined with other factors, triggers this form of hair loss. People with Alopecia Areata may also be at higher risk to develop other autoimmune diseases such as thyroid disease or Vitiligo. Vitiligo is a disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. This happens because the cells that make pigment in the skin are destroyed. These cells are called melanocytes .Vitiligo can also affect the mucous membranes (such as the tissue inside the mouth and nose) and the eye. Autoimmune disorders affect people of all genders, races, and ages, but certain people have an increased risk of developing autoimmune disorders. Your chance of developing an autoimmune disorder is elevated if you are female, middle-aged, African American or Latino, have a family history of autoimmune disorders or have been exposed to certain metals (e.g. mercury) for an extended period.
If you experience inexplicable hair loss it could be the result of medication you are taking Among the medications that list hair loss as a side effect are anti-clotting drugs, cholesterol-lowering drugs, antidepressants, certain anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and drugs for menopause, birth control, and antibiotics. Usually, hair grows back when the medication is stopped, but may not in some cases.
“Birth control causes hair loss if it has a progestin – a synthetic version of progesterone – with a high androgen index,” says Briden (naturopath and hormone expert from Sensible-Alternative Hormone Clinic in Sydney). “This can be more or less testosterone-like depending on its molecular structure and that is called its androgen index.”
The American Hair Loss Association (AHLA) has also warned about the impact of hormonal birth control on hair. In a 2010 statement, the AHLA stated that “it is imperative for all women especially for those who have a history of hair loss in their family to be made aware of the potentially devastating effects of birth control pills on normal hair growth.”

16 Do's and Don'ts for a Successful Hair Transplant
At Advanced Hair Studio, we perform hair restoration surgery for clients who are struggling with hair loss for various reasons such as hormonal problems and male pattern baldness. For many people, hair transplant surgery -- also called follicular unit extraction (FUE) -- can restore a full or gain a fuller head of hair. Hair restoration surgery involves transferring hair follicles from one area of the scalp to a balding part where they can continue to grow.

As the FUE procedure continues to grow in popularity, it's important to remember that complying with your surgeon's instructions are crucial to a successful transplant and a faster recovery. Here are some of the most important do's and don'ts to achieve the best possible results.
1. Do Keep Your Scalp Dry
You will need to keep your scalp dry while it heals. Avoid taking showers or swimming for few days. You will have a follow-up appointment the day after your surgery at which point your scalp and hair will be shampooed and blow dried before your scalp is examined. You can usually begin shampooing and blow drying your hair as usual about one week after your surgery.
2. Do Apply the Antibiotic Ointment
Your surgeon will prescribe an antibiotic cream that you must apply to your scalp after your surgery. This cream will help prevent infection and reduce irritation and swelling.
3. Do Take Painkillers After Surgery
You may experience some discomfort after surgery. You can begin taking painkillers about 3 to 4 hours after surgery once your anaesthesia wears off. Always take your medication as prescribed to reduce any discomfort you are feeling.
4. Do Ask Questions
During your consultation and ahead of your procedure, don't be afraid to ask questions. Getting your hair back is a big decision and you want to be sure that FUE is the right choice for you. You will also want to have answers to all of your questions prior to your transplant, especially when it comes to managing your recovery and maximizing your success.
5. Do Have Someone Drive You Home
You will need someone to drive you home after your FUE procedure. This surgery is done under a sedative that helps you relax but it takes hours to wear off. Though most of us are confident on a personal note it isn't safe to drive while the sedative is still in your system.
6. Do Follow Your Customized Post-Op Directions
Your surgeon and the team will provide you with personalized post-op instructions that must be followed. This post-op care plan will also be reviewed with your designated driver prior to surgery.
7. Do Sleep in an Upright Position
Keep your head elevated while you sleep and use two or more pillows if you can or sleep in a recliner chair. This helps reduce swelling on your scalp by allowing blood to flow away from the scalp.

8. Do Apply Light Pressure to the Follicular hair
If you notice mild swelling or bleeding once you wash your hair, apply very light pressure to the area with gauze or a moist, clean cloth for 5-10 minutes. Do not dab the area because this can contribute to scabbing and infection. However, you can expect some scabbing in the beginning of the healing process.
9. Do Keep Your Hair Long
If you are concerned about hair follicles or grafts being visible at first, keep your hair long for the first week or two until scabs heal and your stitches are removed. A very small number of clients experience a so-called "shadow effect" in which follicles are visible. Keeping your hair a bit longer than usual can help hide this effect.
10. Do Be Patient
It's important to go into hair transplant surgery with realistic expectations. You can expect your first new hair to start the growth cycle in 2-4 months after your surgery but remember that hair grows in cycles. This means not all of the new Follicular hair will begin growing at once. By the 8th or 9th month, about 90% of the hair grafts will be growing hair. Once all of the transplanted hair has grown, your results should look very natural, even when examined closely.
11. DON'T Expose Your Scalp to Sunlight
After your hair transplant, it's important to avoid exposing your scalp to direct sunlight for the first few days. This can cause irritation, especially if your scalp is tender and swollen. Wear a hat if you need to go outside.
12. DON'T Scratch Your Scalp
You may experience itchiness of your scalp after your procedure but it's important to leave your scalp alone as it heals. If you scratch or irritate your scalp, you may dislodge your hair follicles before they can grow.
13. DON'T Drink or Smoke
Drinking and smoking can both interfere with the blood supply to your scalp and reduce the success of your hair transplant. Avoid alcohol for at least 5 days after your procedure and do not smoke for at least 3 to 4 weeks.

14. DON'T Play Sports or Engage in Heavy Exercise
Excessive sweating can increase the risk of an infection on your scalp. After your surgery, avoid any activities that may lead to excessive perspiration for about a month. This includes sports and moderate to strenuous exercise.
15. DON'T Be Worried When the New Hair Falls Out
About 2 to 3 weeks after your surgery, the transplanted hair will fall out. This is a normal effect of the procedure and not a cause for concern. You should notice new hair growth within a few months. You may also notice some loss of original hair at the recipient site. This is called shock loss and it's usually temporary. Most people experience 60% new hair growth after 6-9 months. Your surgeon may prescribe various medicated topical applications to improve hair growth after your procedure.
16. DON'T Chemically Treat Your Hair
You will need to wait at least 30 days before you color or chemically treat your hair in any way. If you undergo any hair treatments, you may want to schedule them for one week before your surgery.

When your body lacks certain minerals, such as Vitamin A and Iron, you can easily become a victim of hair loss. Oftentimes, anemia is difficult to remedy.

Telogen Effluvium – a common form of hair loss
Hair on a person’s scalp always undergoes three phases: 1. Anagen phase 2. Catagen phase 3. Telogen phase Anagen is termed as the growing phase for hair regrowth. At any given time, at least 85% of a person’s hairs are actively growing. Usually a hair is in anagen phase for about 4 years. Then catagen phase cause the end of the anagen phase and marks the beginning of the telogen phase. So catagen phase is the transition period. The hair in telogen phase are resting and eventually in 3-4 months fall out allowing new hair to grow. So, an average person loses about 100 hair a day. Telogen effluvium is triggered by:
Weight loss
Surgery
Change in diet
Hormonal changes
Iron deficiency
Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism
Fever or infection
Physical or mental trauma

Telogen Effluvium is a common form of hair loss solutions in men as well as women. When a person experiences shock or has a mental trauma, more hair (about 35%) stop growing and go into the resting phase. This results in the gradual thinning of the hair. So, if a person is experiencing Telogen Effluvium then the person will lose about 350 hair per day instead of 100. Because the hair takes 3-4 months to shed, most of us will not realize that Telogen Effluvium is triggered until after 3-4 months of the actual incident. You may be scared of losing most of such hair in a short amount of time, but this condition is usually temporary. Each hair that falls off is replaced by a new hair so you may not face the problem of baldness.

Symptoms and Diagnosis
The good part is that mostly people will not notice that you have Telogen Effluvium. This is because the hair does not fall of from a particular part of the scalp but few from every part. This does not make patches of hair loss but makes your hair less dense. So, if you have large patches of bald spots then you probably do not have Telogen Effluvium. The ideal way to understand if you are not suffering from this kind of hair loss condition you may choose to consult a professional set of team-members at Advanced Hair Studio to help you understand the actual situation. Only post such diagnosis can the appropriate solution be suggested and taken forward.

Hair Replacement Surgery: All You Need To Know
On an average, 50 - 100 hair strands per day is the normal rate of hair fall treatment, considering that the average scalp contains 100,000 follicular hair.
It has also been seen that 9 out of 10 people are highly concerned if they start losing their hair in their 30s.
In the changing landscape of technologies, hair replacement surgery has equally advanced. Gone are the days when people used to receive irreversible damage to their body because surgeries turned disastrous. It has taken the long journey of time and research, but hair replacement surgery is no longer in its nascent stages.

Today, hair transplant has become one of the latest craze. Apart from those who have lost hair, there also exists a group of individuals who undertake hair replacement surgery to get themselves an attractive mane or style.
If you have decided to bring your hair back by taking hair transplant surgery, there are certain things to find out before going further.
1. Research the background and qualifications of selected hair experts
Do check,
Total years of experience of the team.
Total number of surgeries they have performed.
Search the web on Google to find out about the organization.
2. Look for all possible answers you need
All you need is to filter the right professionals from the horde and compare their results. Of course, you have to pay a fair amount of money if you decide to opt for hair transplant. Yet, the overall spending will worth the outcome if you choose the team with great track record and working experience in this area of expertise since multitude of years and is having a series of proven results that shows ability to fulfill your expected results. All that matters at the end are the results achieved.
3. If you had surgery previously, confirm effectiveness this time
Meet your personal hair expert and ask them about all the information regarding the hair replacement surgery. In most cases, if a person has gone through a hair replacement surgery in the past but didn't get the desired result, the second hair replacement surgery will not work either. We know that you miss those old days when you had a head full of hair, but before the second attempt just make sure that you are not wasting your money and more importantly the limited number of hair follicles you have.
4. Baldness can be caused by multiple factors
Hair transplant procedure is one of the most powerful treatments developed for regrowth of hair.
Studies reveal that baldness also occurs on account of genetics. If your forefathers had baldness, then hair loss may be hereditary. In this case, many efforts are not applicable. Pay attention to your personal habits that are fending growth of hair. Take professional advice from an expert hair consultant to explore more ways of retaining and maintaining your hair. Although hair replacement surgery is a relatively popular choice to overcome hair loss, it does not guarantee for how many months or years its effects will be visible if an appropriate team is not selected for the procedure. Unfortunately, this reality is realized by many only after doing a procedure with an ill-experienced team.
Advanced Hair Studio is one of the best hair clinics in the world helping individuals resolve various types of hair problems. For more information and to get answers to any queries related to hair replacement surgery, call the experts on +971 4345 1233.

Daily Lifestyle Habits To Keep Your Hair Healthy
Some top tips on how to keep your hair healthy.
There are a number of ways in which to keep your hair healthy. They range from diet to the everyday practices and products you put in your hair. There is also a lot of false information out there on how to keep your hair healthy too. At Advanced Hair Studio UAE, we deal with individuals who suffer from debilitating hair loss and the resultant emotional effect every day. While we don’t always have easy fixes, we thought it would be a nice change of pace to provide some insight into the lifestyle changes you can make to ensure that your hair grows as strong and healthily as possible. Here are a few ways in which you can assist your natural hair growth cycle to lessen the chances of extreme hair fall:
Go for a snip regularly
While it may be tempting to skip a trim because you want your hair to grow longer, this can actually be counterproductive in the long run. Regular trims will help you to avoid split ends and dry hair, so experts recommend that you go for a snip once every 6 – 8 weeks.
Give your hair a break once in a while
The daily grind puts a lot of stress on your hair. We recommend that you give your hair some time off every now and again – let it dry naturally, steer clear of any heat styling tools and avoid tying it up. Sometimes the best course of action for keeping your hair healthy, really can simply be letting your hair down and allowing it to do its own thing.
Load up on protein and eat a colourful plate
Hair is made up of keratin, which is a protein. As such, it only makes sense that in order to grow lush, lively hair you have to ensure that your diet is rich in protein. This doesn’t mean you should overlook fruit and vegetables in favour of meat and eggs – your body is a holistic system and in order to properly absorb macronutrients like protein, it requires things like Vitamin C and iron. In short – make sure you eat a balanced diet that includes complex carbohydrates, protein, dairy and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. This gives your body all the tools it needs to manufacture strong, healthy hair throughout the hair regrowth cycle.
Protect your hair from the elements
When summertime rolls around it can be very tempting to throw caution to the wind and let your hair do its thing as you enjoy the sun, surf, and sand. However, if you wish to have your hair in good condition and keep your hair healthy throughout the rest of the year, we highly recommend that you take a few precautions before you head outside. Avoid UV damage by donning an appropriate hat (we recently published an article on hats and hair loss that take a look at appropriate headwear for people who suffer from hair thinning and alopecia), ensure that you deep condition at least once a week and don’t be too rough when you try to untangle any resultant knots in your hair.
Stop fiddling!
Twirling your hair around your finger when you’re thinking, picking at split ends when you’re bored, tugging at your ponytail when you’re nervous – most of us are partial to at least one of these. This type of tugging places a lot of pressure on the shaft of your hair and can slowly traumatise your follicles. Our advice is that you try to interfere with your hair as little as possible in order to reduce the odds of traction alopecia.
What are my options to reverse hair loss?
Sometimes no matter how healthily you live or carefully you look after your hair, you will nevertheless experience hair loss. This is the result of a variety of factors that range from genetics and environmental impact, to hairstyle choices and more.
As the scientific understanding of the biology behind hair fall develops so do our options to encourage regrowth. Advanced Laser Therapy is one of the most exciting and innovative treatments we offer at Advanced Hair Studio UAE. This breakthrough procedure involves a powerful combination of the latest laser beam technology with a proven scalp and follicle treatment program that arrests hair loss; saves and thickens existing thinning hair; regrows hair in areas where the follicles are still alive, but deep roots; and improves scalp condition and hair texture to boot.

Hair Regrowth For Men: Before And After Pictures You Won’t Believe Are Real
Hair regrowth for men that simply have to be seen to be believed!
If there’s one thing that each and every single man on the planet has in common, it’s the undeniable fear of losing his hair. Yes, going bald is right up there with the fear of public speaking, spiders, homicidal clowns and flying in planes – which is to say, losing one’s hair is one of the more common fears among earth’s general population. The good news is that hair regrowth is not impossible. Hair regrowth for men needn’t be a difficult thing in today’s world, especially as the technologies on offer are readily available.
While almost 99% of men lose their hair due to genetic reasons, there are a small percentage that suffer hair loss due to other factors: lack of the correct nutrients and minerals as a result of bad diets, insufficient sleep, stress, and excessive smoking and alcohol intake. If you are experiencing hair loss, you needn’t worry. There are a variety of hair regrowth treatments out there that are able to give your scalp a new lease on life.
Whether you’ve started to notice a suspiciously thinning hairline or you’ve invested in a brand new panama hat (they’re so in this season) to mask your unsightly and rapidly expanding bald spot, there’s a fair chance you’ve dabbled in one of the many “miracle” hair regrowth methods or cures available to you.
Know this: while there are plenty of hair regrowth options out there developed specifically to fight hair loss, it’s hard to tell which methods to take seriously and which to flush down the drain with the last vestiges of your once thriving coiffure. Check out these hair regrowth before and after pictures below for some inspiration.

“I decided to do something about my hair loss–pure and simple—for confidence.” Joel, tennis instructor and presenter, had a handful of simple hair regrowth treatments — Advanced Laser Therapy (ALT) by Advanced Hair Studio — and now both his hair and his confidence have been grown back. “And I’d do it again.”

Shane, nightclub owner, was quite recently rocking an embarrassingly thin comb-over, but it was nothing a hair restoration procedure by Advanced Hair Studio couldn’t sort out. Now, Shane is making the most of his brand new locks by getting down with the rest of his party- loving clientele. “So much like a natural head of hair, I forget it’s not my own. I have complete confidence that whatever I do, it will always remain undetectable.Â
Considering Mike’s condition, he was advised to undergo combination of two hair replacement procedures, as hair regrowth was not an option in his case. We gave him a head full of hair by performing a combination of Strand by Strand The Ultimate plus Strand by Strand Cosmetic. This was the most effective and only way for him to get a head full of hair back with desired coverage, density and volume. “The results in my life are truly remarkable, and I owe it to Advanced Hair Studio in a large way.”

After Sam, student, underwent a combination of hair replacement and hair regrowth procedures, he started noticing his life improving in a variety of ways. “I feel more confident. Wonderful, in simple words. Can’t believe it took me so long to get it done.”Â
Paul was, until recently, balding at an alarming pace. He underwent cosmetic hair replacement (Strand-by- Strand Cosmetic to be exact) and now has a thick, luxurious head of hair once more. “Your expertise, patience, fun and understanding mean so much to both of us. My life has improved so much and you do the most brilliant job every time.”Â
Jacques wanted his hair back, and opted for cold beam laser therapy, a powerful method of reducing DHT levels, stopping hair loss in its tracks, and saving and thickening existing thin and weak hair, as well as re-growing hair in regions where his hair follicles were still alive but deeply rooted. Jacques now enjoys improved scalp conditions, improved quality and texture of hair. “Advanced Hair Studio did a fantastic job on my hair. Can Dandruff Cause Hair Loss In Men?
Can dandruff cause hair loss in men?
Dandruff and hair loss often occur simultaneously, so it makes sense that men who suffer from both wonder whether these two conditions are related or whether one causes the other. One of the questions we get asked a lot is does dandruff cause hair loss in men? The link is overlooked and often the information is misleading. Â The team at Advanced Hair Studio UAE is often required to provide clarity on the matter, so we decided to put together a handy reference for our readers.
Dandruff & hair loss in men
First off, let’s look at a proper medical definition of dandruff. Dandruff, according to Medi-Lexicon, is “the presence, in varying amounts, of white or grey scales in the hair of the scalp, due to excessive or normal branny exfoliation of the epidermis.” As such, we can surmise that dandruff is a condition associated with the scalp, rather than the hair itself. So while hair loss and dandruff often occur concurrently, dandruff does not cause hair loss.
However, quite interestingly, the way in which many men choose to treat their hair loss actually has the potential to cause dandruff, which is why it is often assumed that the scalp condition contributed to hair thinning.
The casual link between hair loss treatment & dandruff
In the many years we have been treating hair loss in men and women from around the globe, we have had the opportunity to learn a lot about lifestyle choices and how it can contribute to hair loss and unwanted scalp conditions. Here are a few causal links that we have established between hair thinning and dandruff throughout the years:
To wash or not to wash: When men first notice hair fall they normally do so in the shower, and there is nothing quite as disheartening as watching your prized tresses making their way down the drain. This often leads to what many men assume is a practical solution – stop washing your hair so much. While this notion makes sense at first glance, it is actually not a great idea at all. While a veto on hair washing might safeguard you from actually seeing the amount of hair you lose in one go, it will continue to happen. The one thing it will do, however, is make you more susceptible to dandruff if you already have a genetic propensity to suffer from dry scalp conditions. Individuals who suffer from dandruff should actually wash their hair once a day to ensure that their scalp is cleansed of any sebum or residue that could further irritate and inflame the dermis.
Hair loss medications can irritate the scalp: Certain prescription hair loss medications contain ingredients like alcohol that can dry out the scalp and eventually lead to flaking. It is recommended that you speak to one of our trained hair loss experts if you suspect that any medication you have previously been prescribed may be impacting on the health of your scalp or skin in general. They may be able to recommend a better course of action.
Untreated dandruff can lead to manual hair loss: Untreated dandruff leads to an itchy, swollen, uncomfortable scalp which causes many sufferers to scratch incessantly, which could potentially result in hair loss as they unwittingly damage their hair follicles. Dandruff sufferers also tend to wear hats in order to avoid embarrassment. Read our recent article on the causal link between hat and hair loss here. The short of the long is that prolonged and sustained hat wearing has the potential to contribute to hair loss due to a restriction of blood flow and nutrients to the scalp, as well as sweat and sebum build-up associated with exposure to unwashed fabrics.
