For day 4 of Jancy Weekend 2024, I used the prompt AUs and made a moodboard for an AU based on the Netflix series Locke & Key. The pictures are not mine. I found them on Google. All credit goes to the rightful owners. 

The year is 2019. High school guidance counselor Ted Wheeler has been murdered. His wife Karen decides to move their 16 year old daughter Nancy, 14 year old son Mike, and 12 year old daughter Holly from Seattle to Matheson, Massachusetts, and take residence in his childhood home, Keyhouse. The children discover a number of mysterious keys throughout the house that can be used to unlock various doors in magical ways. They become aware of a demonic entity that is searching for the keys for its own malevolent purposes. Nancy starts dating one of her classmates, Jonathan Byers, and Mike befriends Jonathan’s brother Will. Jonathan and Will find out about the keys and team up with Nancy, Mike, and Holly to banish the demonic entity from Keyhouse.

I’ve had the ocean on the brain due to it being summer, one of the teams for artfight this year is seafoam (which I love btw and hoping is the team that wins), and cause of my blogs theming, so I thought it fitting to draw them in a mermaid au! (that also takes place in the 19th century because I said so)

I’ve also just been itching to draw the ocean again. It was fun the last few times I did it and I haven’t had any ideas on what to draw in relation to it (until now)
