honestly, i really don't want to sacrifice mc. all the hardships, keeping yourself alive and gaining meaningful relationships just for yourself to be a sacrificial lamb? it's the mc's purpose, but can we be selfish? i'm a sucker for angst but it's just so sad to leave everything behind... if you know what i mean. will there be an option where we refuse to take loha's place? (will take advantage of having saves for the different outcomes bc i sure am traumatized by endless summer. being selfish and staying on the island felt like shit this ain't right but didn't have the heart to repeat the chapter anyways)

overall reaction for chapter 20 though: knew matthias was ever the shady ass mf in the whole story. kinda expected betrayals and all kinds of plot twists bc knowing you guys haha but i was honestly still surprised lmao. what the fuck was that? are you telling me all of that happened just for us to wait for weeks to know what's gonna happen next?

ps. it was a rhetorical question. take your time on working on this masterpiece my loves. you are doing so good i'm sobbing why does this have to end

there's so much to think about, it's true. 😔 I finally have settled on telling everyone that there are about 5 major endings, though each of those major endings has a lot of variation within them. So you can always try them all out and settle on the one you think fits best!! glad we got you gasping with this recent chapter, and i'm already on the edge of my seat with wanting to share the new chapters 👁

the betrayal lincoln and abel felt must be devastating. linc didn't like/trust his father and was this close to letting him in (most probably because of what connor said) but didn't know that matthias would go to this extent, to the point of using someone with the power again just like what he did to linc when he was young, and the attempt to kill his girlfriend. linc and abel fought countless of times just because of matthias. abel fought for him, defended him, believed that he was not as linc perceived him and actually think of him as his father but look where it all led to.

But now for some not-so-good news. Despite our best efforts to finish the game in time to stick to our schedule, we simply aren’t quite ready with the last two chapters to continue airing one chapter a week. We are programmed through ch 22, however we are doing some heavy rewrites to ch 22, in addition to needing to thoroughly test, and ch 23 is still being edited to prepare for programming.

Rather than wait an unspecified amount of time after ch 21 or 22 for the last chapter or two, we decided to take a break after ch 20 so that the final three chapters can be enjoyed without any breaks. So after this chapter, we will go on hiatus for a few weeks (I’m hoping it’ll just be 2-3 weeks) before coming back. We will keep you updated and tell you when to expect ch 21. personally think that heaven's secret is good as it is with the 3 seasons that it had on the first book. that was a long ass book and had different but reasonable outcomes for me even having some of the characters dead. all of those happened as the consequences of every choice that i made during that book and i'm aware of that. although i did cry a river since almost all of them died in my gameplay except lucifer.

anyways, it would be better if we were given a couple of special episodes, but this one is a sequel book with a huge plot again. reading the first chapter of the book 2 was overwhelming bc it's like a sudden transition of a new world, the ten year time jump, the change of mc's face (it was really unnecessary??), new characters, and knowing that the others were already dead but suddenly alive again. all of these is giving me 'oh this book feels so different' and 'we're having big ass problems again? aren't we done with this shit already?'

i might sound like a hypocrite but don't get me wrong, i squealed and was hella excited when i saw that hs was gonna have a book 2. just wanted to voice all of these out. still excited about this book since the first one was written well and we get to see everyone again esp our li <33 hoping that this book is as good as the first one or better!!
