I never let myself think about you

I know it might seem contradictory, with all the work I do in your honor. 

With all the art I create in your honor. 

But I never think about you. 

I just think about the work. 

I just think about the message. 

I’m here to get a point across, to convey facts, to appeal to peoples’ emotions. 

Never my own. 

The last 3 years have been a dream. 

I can’t even type that without calculating whether or not I’m getting the date right.

It happened.

But it’s still not real. 

I forget all the time.
