I used to imagine that post avengers. Like every villains knows iron man is almost invincible but they think Tony is nothing without the armor. They somehow manage to kidnap him but he escapes like 5 minutes later leaving a note saying

He talks about it later at dinner and everyone looks at him like «omg our baby is growing up »
