I'm starting to feel callous for saying this:

Please, Please, Please, if you are in a situation where you need money or have a go-fund-me started, DO NOT send people asks about it.

Make a post with places to donate instead, spread awareness through reblogs, but don't go into strangers DMs or Ask Boxes soliciting donations. It makes you look like a bot, not a real person needing help.

The big scam one I'm seeing right now is individuals "in Gaza" asking for donations. Before Gaza they said the donations were because of an illness. Bots/scammers are using Gaza to pull at your heartstrings and scam you.

Donate to places you can trust. Like Amnesty International, Free The Children/WE Charities, UN Crisis Relief, Red Cross, etc. Places you know are credible.

I feel callous for deleting/blocking/reporting asks like that but just know it is a scam. It's using your empathy against you. Do not fall for those asks. Donate to causes, raise awareness, but delete and block those asks/dms because they are not real people. it's the same copy/pasted story on each one. Do your research before donating and be safe online.

It's my city! It was fully with life until the butchers passed through it! Since the beginning of the massacres, I've been struggling to save myself and my family, but in these circumstances, your support alone has been and remains a lifeline for us. We still need you. The famine has intensified, and we're struggling to get even an empty loaf of bread. The displacement conditions have become more difficult than ever because we've returned to square one after the truce was violated. Just a reminder that your regression isn't gross or weird, it is a healthy and safe coping mechanism, no one should make you feel bad about it, some people are just uneducated or being mean, that doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong

You’re not greedy or too much if you need caregiving most of even all of the time. You aren’t greedy or too much if you’re a permanent regressor, or almost always regressed.

You are still absolutely worthy of a caregiver who can meet your needs. You aren’t a burden, and you absolutely do not need to feel guilty for needing that care and support most or all of the time.

There isn’t anything bad or selfish about it. You’re allowed to need that care.

psych ward workers being mean to people who are there involuntarily after incidents is just so stupid to me. like i think the people who are so far gone that no part of them wants to be alive or theyre severely psychotic or manic need help the most. stop just writing us off as not wanting help and then not giving us any help.

What really sucks is when you know you should be doing something but physically/mentally cannot bring yourself to do it no matter how important doing that thing is.

Do people understand that when you say “I’m tired” it doesn’t mean “I didn’t get enough sleep last night” or “I need more physical energy”?

It means I am drained. I have been fighting through each day just to wake up and do it again. I am tired of existing in a world where everything feels like a struggle and nothing feels right. I am tired of fighting negative thoughts. I am tired of waking up.
