After his hometown burns down in a dragon attack, Jayce is approached by Viktor- a stranger who has burning eyes and walks with a cane, offering shelter, if he helps with his inventions in turn. Jayce agrees and they become inseparable, giving magic to the world.

But it all changes, when Viktor is stolen by dragons and Jayce swears to kill every single one of those scaly beasts in revenge. In his quest to kill, he meets an injured dragon, who needs his help.
