Autumn in Scotland
"From the storied stone castles to the resplendent moors and woodlands, Scotland’s beauty truly comes alive in autumn. We’ve gathered just the pieces to channel the spirit of fall in the Highlands including rich leather furnishings, classic tartans, and cozy knits. It’s the perfect blend of tradition and romance."

Style | Rachel Zoe Resort 2016
Completely smitten with Rachel Zoe's Resort 2016 collection—the long, fluid wide leg trousers; backless dresses (back and shoulders are my favourites to bare); the mens-inspired tuxedo blazers and vests; all in sumptuous leather, suede (those leather and suede trousers are a dream!) and lush satin. Wishing all my favourite looks were available now, for immediate packing to wear on my next journey...

Shop | Clutch Better Have My Money
Currency is a great memento of your journeys, especially when visiting a destination for the first time, or, you have no plans to return. I have a cache of euros, pounds, Canadian dollars, Francs—even, inadvertently, USD (once, 2 months after a NYC weekend I found $120 in  a clutch!) that I've returned home with as keepsakes.
Carole Tessier, designer of Preciously Paris handbags, shares this sentiment and has teamed up with M'oda 'Operandi on an iconic currency-inspired collection of clutches. These hand-embroidered works of art feature 16 detailed notes dated as early as circa 1861 (USA). Hong Kong's Dollar, Italy's (now replaced) Lire, and  Colombia's (previously named) Peso Oro, are a few of my favourites.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js'; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += '?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');

Guest LSST Nº 03 | Bevery Hills by Gabrielle of Resort Rock Sugar
Resort Rock Sugar, founded in 2011 by the lovely Gabrielle Anderson-Thompson, was a compulsory creative diversion from 50+ hour work weeks. What initially began as a fashion blog showcasing her sometimes rock, sometimes sugar personal style and covetable fashions, has since evolved into a lifestyle blog, documenting her journeys (Istanbul, London, Paris, Rio, and Sydney are her top 5) and new discoveries at home in and around Beverly Hills. Taking a moment from the Paris travel guide she's creating -she recently spent 3 months in the city of lights- she shares her LSST to the famed 90210 and beyond.
|Why Beverly Hills?|  There aren't many walking neighborhoods in L.A., and the attraction to Beverly Hills for me is just that. I walk to Beverly Drive several times a week, for frozen yogurt, Urth Caffé, or just to get some fresh air. I'm also just a few minutes’ walk from some of the best shopping in the world - namely my favorite, Barneys. People would be surprised to know that Beverly Hills is actually one of the cheaper neighborhoods in  L.A. to live in and I've never felt unsafe here, though I live alone.
LEISURE: I'm a huge fitness fanatic. I do Pilates 2-3 times a week at Pilates Platinum in Brentwood - its the most awesome workout. I also love the yoga sculpt class at Hot 8. On the weekends, I almost always find time for Runyon; and you can often find me sprawled out on a blanket with a good book at a park in Beverly Hills.
|Neighborhoods a visitor should seek?|  Abbot Kinney in Venice offers a little of everything and while I'm not a fan of the Venice boardwalk, its an L.A. classic and within walking distance. Also Rose in Venice is not as known, but equally as impressive. If I have a free day I love exploring the Arts District in downtown L.A. - it's super cool for a different, more urban vibe and some rad street art. And of course, Malibu for the scenic coastal drive, clean beaches, and dining with a view.
SLUMBER: I've staycationed plenty in L.A. and my favorites are still the Mondrian, Petit Ermitage, and the Roosevelt. All have great pools, which is a requirement in L.A. The interior of the London is beautiful, but its a little sleepy for me, and I live right behind the Peninsula, which is gorgeous if you are in the mood for something fancy. And of course, the Beverly Hills Hotel is spot on if you are looking for the traditional old-school Hollywood vibe.
SHOP: My favorite shopping street in L.A. is Melrose Place. Zimmermann just moved there, which is one of my all-time favorites for swim and resort wear. There isn't a whole lot on Melrose Place, but it is charming and quiet and it feels like you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I also love West 3rd Street - Anine Bing and Satine are favorites, Gogosha has a great selection of sunnies. My favorite store in the world is Curve on Robertson - they carry the best brands. While on Robertson, you have to stop by Intermix - there are a few locations in L.A., but the Robertson location is the best. And for pretty much everything in the universe, Barneys is my go-to, especially shoes, handbags, and menswear (yes, I've been known to shop in the mens section for myself too). Reformation on Melrose is also awesome, and its nice to support a company that is doing good things for the world.
TASTE: [While shopping on West 3rd Street] there are a ton of great places to stop for lunch, including Joan's on Third, Goldie's, Kreation, and Toast - all are amazing. Favorite restaurants in L.A. are Gjelina, AOC, Cecconi's, Republique, and Gracias Madre. They have superb food and an excellent ambiance. I also enjoy The Tasting Kitchen and Terrine for brunch. Laurel Hardware and Ysabel have super sexy patios, so fun places to go for drinks. For romance, nothing beats Nobu in Malibu. If I'm meeting a date for drinks and I have to choose the location, I always go with Eveleigh or Pearls, both on Sunset. Aventine is always buzzing and a fun place to stop for drinks before going out in Hollywood. And if you are downtown for happy hour, Perch has an awesome rooftop.
|Your prefect 24 hours in Beverly Hills...| My perfect day - wake up and do Pilates, spin, or yoga. Grab a green juice at Kreation (there are two locations in Beverly Hills). Lunch with girlfriends at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. A little shopping at Barneys and then Robertson Blvd or Melrose Place. Stop in for a caffeine fix at Alfred on Melrose Place. Blowout by my girl Kelly Wood at Salon Republic. Light dinner and drinks at EP & LP or the Nice Guy and then bowling at the Spare Room or karaoke at Break Room 86. I also recently discovered the Hollywood Bowl (shameful that is was only recently) and it's everything its cracked up to be - perfect for picnicking and taking in an evening concert!
  |Favorite weekend getaway from BH?|
"I love Palm Springs. And there is no other place to stay than the Parker. It is everything. My favorite hotel in the world!"
Gabrielle's #1 travel tip:
"Bring running shoes wherever you go. Taking an early morning run is one of the best ways to see a new city."
Gabrielle's travel essentials:
"Stan Smith Adidas sneakers (they go with everything and are super comfortable), sunscreen, a good book, and an open mind."

Journey Nº 01 | In Pursuit of 007
Bond, Dame Bond.
There's never any doubt we can hang with the big boys; even those who use potent magnetism to brazenly fill a midnight blue dinner suit to its meticulously tailored seams. Let them underestimate dusk's  stiletto and evening gown ensemble should they choose, our pursuit of luxury and adventure is the reason we'll be sliding behind the wheel of a Vantage and flawlessly taking the Furka Pass to bungee jump the Verzasca dam come dawn . . .
IN PURSUIT OF 007
COST | $4,920 PER PERSON
ITINERARY | 5 DAYS
DAY 1 Scope Out Zurich DAY 2 An Aston Martin Adventure DAY 3 From Atop a Dam to Deep Underground DAY 4 A Lakeside Lunch and an Undercover Hotel
To mark the 50th anniversary of the film Goldfinger, Shelby Donley has created an itinerary for fans of the famous spy and anyone in pursuit of the mix of adventure and luxury that typifies James Bond. If you accept this mission, you'll begin in Zurich at the legendary Dolder Grand, continue to Andermatt where key scenes of Goldfinger were shot and then drive to Ticino and the Verzasca dam, famous from the opening scenes of GoldenEye. Everywhere you travel, Shelby will make sure you stay in the best hotels and that every martini you order will be shaken not stirred. Make sure to also check out [Afar's] guide to some of Switzerland's appearances in Bond films.
DAY 1
Scope Out Zurich
Arrive in Zurich and transfer to the Dolder Grand. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour to learn your way around the Old Town, and then return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure—you may want to leave some time to visit the world-class Aqua Zone spa. We think Bond would approve of their unique snowparadise and Japanese-style heated sunaburo.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Dolder Grand
DAY 2
An Aston Martin Adventure
Pick up your Aston Martin Vantage and drive to Andermatt over the Furka Pass on the roads famous from Goldfinger. The trip is under two hours and you'll pass alpine lakes and charming villages on your way to the Chedi Andermatt. After checking in, stroll through the town where 007's legacy remains after 50 years. This afternoon you'll meet your guide for a two-hour hike to a cheese farm, where you'll taste the local product with an apertif. For dinner, we can arrange a meal atop a mountain pass.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Chedi Andermatt
DAY 3
From Atop a Dam to Deep Underground
Enjoy a guided morning hike taking in the magnificent alpine scenery. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to the Verzasca (Contra) dam where Bond bungee jumped in GoldenEye. You'll continue on to the Sasso San Gottardo, a museum located in tunnels excavated during the Cold War in Gotthard mountain. Following your tour, you'll enjoy a unique gourmet meal inside the tunnels.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Chedi Andermatt
DAY 4
A Lakeside Lunch and an Undercover Hotel
Depart Andermatt for your return to Zurich. Stop at Lake Lucerne for lunch and a tour of the area or opt instead for a four-wheel drive adventure. Late in the afternoon, you'll return to Zurich and check into the Widder Hotel. This cool contemporary hotel has gone undercover, located within nine historic townhouses. In the morning, you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Widder Hotel
What to Pack
As Jaunteurs travelling in chic is habitude: lightweight layers of the finest quality; silk-lined or fringe leather driving gloves; Burberry's Utterback hiking boots; Tom Ford's Marko Aviator sunglasses (Bond-approved in Skyfall); and 007 parfum are perfectly packed into our Globe-Trotter: James Bond leather special edition luggage.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js'; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += '?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');

Taste | Lavender of Provence + Recipes
As summer prepares to bid adieu, so too does the most desirable season to visit the lush lavender fields of Provence (June to August—with the peak in July); and while there are many beautiful lavender fields around the world, Lavandula angustifolia, or, English Lavender, is native to the Mediterranean, making southern France an ideal home for this adored flower to flourish.
While biding our time until the next high season, let’s indulge our epicurean tastes with recipes that celebrate this floral, slightly sweet flavoured flower as lavender’s culinary uses are quite varied: its abundant nectar is harvested for premium-quality honey; it is mixed into salads and dressings; blended with some black, green, or herbal teas; paired with sheep’s-milk and goat’s-milk cheeses; and, the flowers are candied and frequently used as cake decorations, to name a few. However, it is said that lavender best flavours baked goods and desserts—pairing especially well with chocolate! And so, here are 6 delectable lavender recipes to devour…
NO CHURN BLUEBERRY LAVENDER ICE CREAM
[Twigg Studios Recipe]
LAVENDER HOT CHOCOLATE
[á la mode recipe]
RAW FIG, CHERRY, LAVENDER & HONEY CAKE
[Ascension Kitchen Recipe]
LAVENDER CUPCAKES
[Sugar Shack Recipe]
CHOCOLATE LAVENDER PIE
[Camille Becerra Recipe via Sunday's Supper]
LAVENDER WHITE CHOCOLATE FRENCH MACARONS
[Eve's Fika Recipe]
P.S. Twigg Studios has 10 more recipes featuring lavender, including Cacao Lavender Muffins w/Lavender Goat's Milk Caramel, Blackberry Apple Crepe Cake w/Lavender Caramel, and Blueberry Lavender Scotch Pancakes w/Earl Grey Fudge Sauce.
