These are the fish and flower socks from Urban Crews. They are a standard length crew sock that is a cotton/polyester/spandex blend. The socks is light so it is good in the summer heat. The spandex keeps the sock snug to the foot and holds it up a long time throughout the day. The pattern is colorful and the black fish, flowers, and trees pop against the grey and blue background. The yellow highlights at the tow and heal provide a nice bright contrast. This is carried through with the yellow stripes around the foot and the leg. I really like these socks and would buy others from this group. I give them 5 fish out of 5.

I got these socks from a Highly Suspect show a couple of years ago. Not sure who made them, but they seem to be pretty standard fair. They are comfortable, but they do fall down regularly throughout the day. The sock is a basic black with grey accents at the toe, heal, and cuff. The band name and mascot appear on the side of the leg. They thought ahead and put the name on opposite sides of the leg so that you can wear them both on the outside of the legs or on the inside, which was a good call on the manufacturing end. I do like wearing these occasionally, especially when going to concerts. Overall, I will give these a 3.5 out 5 Little Ones.

These are the banned book socks from Out of Print clothing. They list many books that have been banned or challenged over the years. One sock has the titles visible while the other has them crossed out. The titles on the socks wrap completely around the leg and the foot as there are a lot of banned books. Contrast is provided by the black toe, heal, and cuff. These fit the foot really well and tend to stay up over long periods of time. They can be purchased in 2 different sizes so it should be possible to find a sock that will fit most feet. Because of the theme and the fit, I will give these socks a 5 out of 5 books.

Another selection from the @sockpanda-blog sock of the month club. Depending on how you look at these, they are either storm trooper faces or Stitch. At least that is what I see. These stay up pretty well throughout the day, though they do slide down after extended periods. They are a bit thicker than the typical Sock Panda sock which is not a bad thing. The pattern extends around the entire sock and the contrasting black of the toe, heal, and cuff adds some additional interest. Overall, I give these socks a 4.5 out of 5 missed blaster shots.

These are yet another selection from the @sockpanda-blog sock of the month club. These are more recent as they have the give back on the soles of the foot. These are a bit thinner, so they are good for the spring and summer months. They are a bit longer than a normal crew to the point where they could almost be considered over the calf. The pandas smoking pipes on each sock are well done and sewn into the sock. Even with all that knit work, they still go on pretty easily. The black accents at the toe, heel, and cuff are a nice contrast to the off-white/beige tone of the sock. These are comfortable and did’t have issues sliding down throughout the day, which was good. Overall they are a good pair of socks, but I don’t expect them to last through too many wearings due to the thinness of the material. Overall I give them a solid 4 pipes out of 5.

These pizza socks come from one of my favorite sock producers, @gumballpoodle-blog1. These are from their crew sock line and take after their dress sock style knee highs, meaning that they are a bit lighter weight and not as thick in the foot. In this case, that isn’t a bad thing as they fit in all my shoes with no problem. The sock is still comfortable and is fits well in both the foot and leg. They stay up pretty well throughout the day. The orange base is highlighted by red dots which probably represent pepperoni. You can see that the dots are all over the sock including the sole. The green pizza letters appear on both sides of the legs, so there is no questions as to which way they should be worn. The brown accents on the toe and heal are a little thicker than the rest of the sock, but not by much. The brown cuff is somewhat thin, but it still holds the sock up well. You can see the Gumball Poodle logo on the sole of the sock in the third picture. I really like these socks and they are comfortable for year round wear. Overall, they get 5 pepperonis out of 5.

These grey and white stripe socks are ones I don;t wear too often. Because of that, I’m not 100% sure where they come from. I think they are from Sock 101 which is now known as School of Sock. Anyway, the socks are a mid-weight but a bit on the short side for a crew. The stripes continue around the entire sock, though you can see the seam where they don’t quite sync up on the sole of the foot and running up the back of the leg. The grey toe, heal, and cuff accents are a good addition to break up all the stripes. The socks fit pretty well overall, but the do slide down a bit throughout the day. I will give these a 3 out of 5.

I got these during a trip to San Francisco several years ago from a sock store on Pier 39. These socks were made by Foot Traffic. Like most of their socks, they are lighter in weight so they can be worn in the summer. The foot is a bit loose fitting, but not so much that is noticeable in the shoe. There is enough stretch in the leg that the heart and the writing don’t become distorted on the calf. They even have writing on the both edges of the sole of the sock. These are very comfortable and the writing is high enough as it doesn’t show under pants if you don’t want it to. The red accents at the toe, heal, and cuff are a nice accent touch. Overall I give these 4 bridges out of 5.

These are the slate prism crew socks from Pair of Thieves. These are very nicely cushioned on the bottom but have venting mesh on top of the foot. Because of this, they can easily be worn in the summer months. In addition to the cushioned sole, the arch support make these a really comfortable sock to wear through the day. They also stay up pretty well. While the solid grey may not be exciting, sometimes you need a straight forward sock. Overall, I give these a 4.5 out of 5.

These are the super hero socks from @sockittomeinc in their rainbow pattern. Like all their socks, there is a lot of elastic material throughout the sock, so they fit the foot closely but comfortably. Because of the elastic material content, they stay up for the entire day with no real need to readjust them. The stripes wrap around the entire sock from the foot to the leg, with black accents at the toe, heel, and cuff. The lightning bolt accent on the sides of the leg are the hallmark of the super hero sock from Sock It To Me. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can get these from Sock It To Me anymore, unless you are a kid. But, I do really like these socks and I have several different versions of them which I may post later on. Until then, I will give these 5 lightning bolts out of 5.

We have another pair of @sockpanda-blog sock of the month socks. These green diamond socks have an all over design with a dark green toe and heal accent and a light green cuff. These are a bit thicker so they are good for cooler months. They have enough elastic material to stay up for most of the day, so they didn’t require too much readjusting. They were comfortable and had a decent amount of cushioning. The only complaint I have is that they could have been a bit long to make them more of an over the calf type sock. Even with that though, I would still give them 4 green diamonds out of 5.

These are the Boldfoot Statesman socks. These are mid weight socks that are good for all but the hottest days. The colors are bold, though these have faded over time through use. The socks do tend to fit a bit on the loose side, so they do slide down often throughout the day. The foot of the socks also doesn’t fit tightly, so it tends to slide a bit as well. The socks are made in the USA and a portion of their profits go to veteran charities. Overall, these socks aren’t bad, but I do like mine to fit a bit tighter than these do. Because of this, I will only give them 3 wings out of 5.

These are the Adidas climacool superlite low-cut socks. These are really light as the name suggests and they are really form fitting on the foot. The low cut gives you just enough sock to come over the top of the shoe which is nice. The mesh top makes the sock breathe easy so wearing them in hot weather is no problem. The grey base has enough cushion to be comfortable, but not so much as to add extra weight. I like that the stripes appear on opposite sides of the socks. It’s a nice design touch. I really like these and they are easy to find. I think I got a 3 pack of them from Kohls. Overall, I will give these 5 stripes out of 5.

Here is another pair of crew socks from the sock of the month collection by @sockpanda-blog. These are a bit unusual in that they do not have any sock panda branding on them. As you can see, the anchor design wraps around the entire sock from foot to cuff. The light blue accents at the toe and heal are a nice touch, as is the dark blue cuff that matches the stripes on the socks. The socks are comfortable and lighter weight, so they are good for spring and summer. The elastic in the socks is either not as strong or is not in a high percentage so they socks did tend to slip throughout the day. Not enough to be annoying, but enough to be noticeable. These are a solid pair of socks that can be worn with a wide variety of outfits. Overall, I give them 3.75 anchors out of 5.

These Star Trek TOS socks were carried by @instathinkgeek for a number of years. Unfortunately, they have been retired. They were part of a 3 pack that included engineering (red), science (blue), and command (gold). The socks themselves are a medium weight, so they are good year round. The fabric blend has decent stretch, so they go on and come off easily. Additionally, they stay up pretty well and rarely need adjustment throughout the day. The star fleet insignia is knit into the sock so it doesn’t distort significantly. The contrasting toe, heal, and cuff are a nice touch to set off the solid red body of the sock and frame the insignia. As you can see, they don’t quite reach the calf, so they are on the shorter end of the crew size. Overall these are comfortable socks and they can be worn casually or for a work. I give them a solid 4 red shirts out of 5.

Today we have the classic calf socks from Bombas. These were a special edition with the red highlights on the toe, heal, stripes on the cuff, bee, and name on the toe. These are really comfortable socks that are easy on and off. They have a good amount of cushion in the grey area on the foot and the honeycomb wrap around the foot provides nice arch support. The cuff holds well and keeps the socks up throughout the day. I own several varieties of these exact socks and have not been disappointed in any of them and I’m sure that most of them will make their way here at some point. Overall, I give these 4.5 bees out of 5.

Another pair from @kbellsocks, these are the man on the moon crew socks. They are a little on the thicker side so they are a good fall to early spring sock. The astronaut with the flag is on each side of the sock, so there are no decisions as to which way to wear the sock needed. The camo pattern on the foot wraps around the entire foot. The black toe and heal are a nice bit of contrast that ties into the top of the sock. There is enough elastic material in the sock to keep it up without pinching which means they do not drop significantly throughout the day. With the amount of detail in the sock, these still stretch a decent amount so they slide on and off easily which I like. I really like these socks so I will give them 4.5 moon landings out of 5.
