Hm, makes enough sense. There's also google, you know.

Eh, who knows… I could have been surprised and proven wrong.

If you're already expecting it to be a disappointment, why ask?

Eh. me neither. When I arrived last night, I just wanted to avoid disappointment and save myself the bother.

Join the club. Then again, I don't think I can really say anything, seeing how I haven't done much exploring of the "new" Beaufort.

I haven’t seen anything yet that tickled my fancy.

Depends what you consider fun, I would imagine.

So, is there anything fun to do around here now?

Feeling the thin arms around him tighten, Jax mimicked, and his fingertips ran softly across her back as they separated. A chuckle slipped before he replied, "Exactly. And it's good to see you, too. You look good, Tams." After flashing her a wide smile, the raven turned towards the lake -- his way of ensuring he wasn't rude by staring at the blonde too long. He exhaled a long breath through his nose as unsteady hands filled the front pockets of his jeans. "It's so weird being back here. Like, it feels almost as if nothing happened, but also like this place never existed...If that even makes any sense." He chuckled nervously, shifting on his feet, and finally turned towards the Tamsen again. Seeing her again, all grown up, the feelings were bittersweet. And he couldn't help but wonder where they'd be now, if everything happened differently. Would they have found their way back? Would they still be like strangers? He couldn't keep himself from wondering.
Realising he probably looked rather odd, standing there silently, Jax shook his head and pulled himself back to reality. "So. How has life treated you these past six years? Where'd you end up, anyway? And how's the family?" As the male spoke his last sentence, he ushered towards the picnic table which sat underneath the big oak tree about ten feet from the lake -- he figured it was better than standing, or sitting on the damp grass. As he guided them to the table, his hand found it's way to her lower back involuntarily; the nice guy he, thought, he'd left behind in Miami making an appearance. Upon arrival to the wooden benches, the raven haired allowed her to take a seat first, before he placed himself down in front of her, on the opposing bench. Now, steady hands, rested in front of him, his fingers locked with one another. "I didn't mean to bombard you with questions," Jax laughed timidly, "You don't really have to tell me anything. Hell, we don't even have to really talk about it if you don't want...You know what, I'll just shut up now." And so, he did, his lips drawn taut as he pretended to zip and lock his lips before intertwining his fingers together once more.
Under the Stars
Tamsen couldn’t believe she was back in South Carolina, Beaufort of all places. There was just too much that she’d left behind; too much pain. The six years she’d spent in Japan were like rehab years that helped her forget about everyone and everything back home but there were some aspects of it and some people she knew she’d never forget no matter how hard she tried. The day that he dad said they were moving to Tokyo was on of her worst memories. She had just made cheerleading captain at the high school and had another 2 amazing years ahead of her to complete but alas, her father’s job was going to move them around —again.
Her mother had stayed behind, though. There was packing left to be done and she promised that once she’d seen the movers pack everything in the truck she’d be on her first flight out to Tokyo. Little did they know a disaster would hit their hometown and sweep away most of the town; it also swept away her mother. It wasn’t something she discussed with people; a dark memory was all it was now and she tried to push it as far back into her mind as possible.
The night was cool by the water and Tamsen walked along the shore line of the lake as she waited for her long lost lover, Jax. Somehow over the years the two had grown apart but the world was bringing them back together. Destiny? She had no idea but she knew she was excited to see him again. Hearing him clear his throat, the blonde turned around and and smiled instantly at the sight of him. It was like she’d never been apart from him all those years and the connection was instant. When he pulled her into a hug, Tamsen hugged him back tighter and laughed softly, “It’s so good to see you,” she said. “Wow, it feels like it’s been forever but not that long at the same time,” she giggled as she pulled away. He looked amazing; absolutely handsome and attractive and she couldn’t help but take him in. Puberty had treated him well.

Sure, let's do it. I hope you don't mind me calling you Bey now. Or King B. Whichever I'm in the mood for.

Can I be Beyonce? I’m totally down to be Beyonce. You can be Jay-Z.
