I Decided on a gimmick i kinda like that helps distinguish the spiders more than the eyes and behavior already do. Now, each spider has a different number of joints in their legs! If this game is partly a creature creator, then it would make sense to have the joint number variable, rather than a set amount for all of them (Previously 3)

Also this process helped me with ideas for the stalker spider, as well as the idea for a tiny spider that might be weak, but might form large social groups with eachother, similar to ants or crows (depending on how smart they end up being)!

Another year passes, and my experience grows with it. Though time seems to go by so fast, birthdays remind you how much time you really do have in front of you. Im looking forward to it all.

Lighthouse animated! It looks a bit exaggerated and cartoony here but i tried my best lol (my phone crashed like 4 times atleast while trying to make it lol)

The game in my head is currently only a sandbox bc i dont want to have to think about complex stuff yet. The reason i went with "Counter Parts" is because, one, there are creatures that are counterparts to eachother, and two, because i want the creatures to be customizable, so some kind of 'Parts' system like spore might be fitting.

Also, i believe this is the first time ive posted either the grabby bird, green bird, or the snakes, so i hope you like them! The snakes feel a little big here, they'll probably be smaller and longer than what i have shown here.

Miros Deer and Rain Bird.

Rain bird ended up looking very flamingo-like when i initially intended to make it corvid-like, but im fine with this. Besides it could make sense since now they probably eat the worm grass, so they'd want to have long legs and a long beak (for grabbing the grass while staying out of danger from the grass). Something i forgot to include is the display feathers on the miros's head and neck, but it does end up making it look alot softer of a creature when it doesn't have the mohawk lol.

I could definitely go further, make the designs even more swapped, but i dont really care to. If anyone sees this, id love to see your takes on this sort of thing! Maybe with some other rw creatures aswell!

Some more lighthouse and spider concepts. Im really thinking these things are going to be in my own seperate game rather than being rain world concepts, though its still obviously quite inspired by them.

Ive also expanded the palette from 16 colors to (whatever 15 x 5 is) colors.

Also writing in pixel art is so fun, i love doing the different "fonts" even if some are not super legible

The size of the Friend sprite is kind of big now that i actually compare it to some other heads. How do people expect this to be the "friend inside me" when its face is the size of spamton?

I guess we'll find out in like a week and a half idk
