UV light is to blame for changes to cured epoxy resin over time. When UV light hits the resin—either directly or indirectly—it degrades the polymers causing gloss loss, delamination, cracking, surface chalking and yellowing. The more UV light the cured epoxy resin is exposed to, the worse the damage will be.
