Either Zane kept it unlocked that one night and Grayson had been harassing Jean this often after all this time that he immediately went to try the door and found the opportunity or Zane gave Grayson a heads up beforehand to try the door or Zane repeatedly left the door unlocked over and over again night after night making the same decision to betray Jean until it actually happened and I can’t decide which option is worse tbh
