British Perspective
Trench warfare was going on for a long time. As time went by, we started to develop more plans and ideas. We started to use sappers who were miners who dug under No-Man's- Land and put bombs on the other side and we also developed better artillery. We made cannons and machine guns and later even made tanks that were awesome. However, the enemies saw our intelligence and copied us. We went to the next level and made poisonous gasses to use for attack. Then finally we started to make planes and that began dog-fights and war in the sky. All these things were good for us Britain's but however, the other side also had these so this made us pretty equal. The Germans tried to break through and go straight into Paris in small equipped groups. They broke the western front but we ended up winning because the Germans didn't have enough supplies! Silly Germans! I think I like the outcome! WE WON! Although it took a lot of time, energy, and money, I think we helped France well and I think this war will change the world.

Today in WW1- Jee Young Cho
I thought it was very interesting how they used bicycles to distract the German communication. I thought this was pretty smart too because bikes are easy to handle and not too valuable. I also thought it was smart because if they cut off the communication, then the Germans would have no information which would do good things for the Belgians. I think the Germans would have been very mad and frustrated because they couldn't communicate to each other.

WW1 Post #2 'The Archduke has been MURDERED!'
The Archduke is DEAD.
We just got news from France and their allies that a big problem is building up because some teenage boys of Bosnia bombed their own heir to the THRONE! It is reported that the boys were against Austria-Hungary but were Bosnian (currently a part of Austria-Hungary). They wanted to break apart from Austria-Hungary to join Serbia. Their plan to kill the heir... WORKED.
This might cause problems later too because this could build tension between Serbia and Austria-Hungary which could cause for their allies to do something about this event too. Like war. However, we are still safe so do not worry but be aware of what is going on in other countries too. If you want to stay aware, buy more of our newspapers! We have exciting news everyday!

WW1 Journal #1 Jee Young Cho
War has broken out in Serbia and the countries south of us. I don't think this war will end well.
This war started up by some teenage boys in Bosnia who wanted to break off and join Serbia. They bombed and killed the next heir to the throne of Austria, Archduke Franz Ferdinand which led to a series of complications. Austria-Hungary declares an Ultimatum on July 23, 1914 saying to end all Anti-Austrian activities and allow Austrian officials into the country to find out who was involved in the assassination of Ferdinand. Serbia accepted but wanted to have an international conference to see what others thought about this. Austria- Hungary said no, so Serbia didn't follow the rules so five days later, Serbia was bombed by Austria- Hungary.
All this made the Russians get ready for war against Austria- Hungary, so Germany said stop. However, the Russians didn't listen and continued getting ready for war so Germany stepped into the war too. Which lead to the Schlieffen plan so they started to go upward toward Belgium which was a big no-no for us! For years we had a contract with Belgium that if they ever needed protection or soldiers, we would send them what they need. So finally the contract was fulfilled. Austria- Hungary and Germany are going the wrong direction... I think they will regret doing this in the future because I think we can beat the Germans, Austrians, and Hungarian ... But you never know what would happen in the future so wish us luck. Long live the King.

Grade 10-I Block
I don't know much about World War 1.... But I know that there was a lot of biowarfare. Millions of people died during the war. There were lots of countries that were involved in this war. I wouldn't like to be in the army because i'm pretty sure I would die pretty soon. I wouldn't like the sound of the guns and I would be terrified of stepping on bombs or being shot.

10-I Block
If I could have tea/coffee with anyone from history, I would have it with Amelia Earhart. Amelia Earhart was the first woman in history to cross the atlantic by herself and she really stood up for women's rights. I want to meet her because she was a really amazing pilot and I want to hear all her flights and all the adventure she had in her life. I want to hear why and how she became who she was personally. I think that her life is really exciting and adventurous and very different to other people's lives/biography. I also want to know how she died because it is to this day a mystery. I think it would be really interesting to talk to her because I am really adventurous also and I like to try new things out too. She had a firm mind on what she wanted to be and what she thought was right and when I meet her I want to ask her how she became so strong minded so that I too can become like her.

Jeeyoung. Grade:10 Block I
I think being a good digital citizen is being responsible for what you do on the internet. Being a good digital includes being honest, not cyberbullying, and having self-control. I think these are the big main ones. Because we are in a school that uses laptops very often, we could get tempted to paraphrase and not give credit to the people who posted the original post. Cyberbullying has become a big problem now, now that we have become a very technological world everyone could do or say anything they want. It could be tempting to say something mean to let someone down or bring yourself up. Also, self control is a big part in being a digital citizen. It could be tempting to just go check your social media really quickly.
So, I think that I should become a better digital citizens by being honest, encouraging others, and having self control. I think that I should do to others how I want to be treated by others and think twice before I do or say something on the internet or in whatever I do.
