Is this a neurodivergent thing only, or does the corporate machines just build some brain wrenching devices and now they're blaming us for the adction? Not to be doubting anyone diagnostic, but you could be enjoying your adh brain with anything, but you're here, like me, drooling over a screen seen nothing for hours. One small moment from Lilo and Stitch that always stuck with me is when Lilo tries to bond with the girls from her hula class. She sees them with their Barbies and tries to show off her homemade doll Scrump, which does nothing but weird out the other girls even more. In frustration Lilo tosses Scrump on the ground and stomps away, only to come back seconds later to pick her back up and hug her.

As a kid with weird interests who also struggled to make friends... man, that got me.

I have something more to say about Angel and Stitch.

The thing is, you can't tell exactly Stitch age. The brilliant thing about this is that He’s neither a person nor a pet, neither a kid nor an adult. He's created in lab and doesn't have any memory or life experience. But he also understands everything around him a way a kid wouldn't. He also flirts with older (human) women during the cartoon. Dang he even stolls Jasmin from Aladin (wich was a really poor depiction of women actually) in one of his cartoons' invasion. But the point is, he's just an ageless gremlin.

Said this, we got the Angel character. I guess she was created to solve the "appropriate romance gap" that existed in the cartoon and prevent the Fandom from making some weird assumptions. (We all know what kind of fanart we can stump on if we go deep enough on Pinterest about Lilo and Stitch). In a society where everyone needs to have a girlfriend, Stitch should have one too. It's the imposition of love, especially heterosexual love that there is.

If we lived in a society where friendship is valid enough, Lilo and Stitch would suffice, and we wouldn't have all those pink and blue products.

Amidst all the live action Lilo and Stitch hate going around(I hate it too I'm just sick of it at this point, not much left to say on it) it reminded me of another aspect of the franchise I can't stand

I utterly hate Angel

She appears in one episode of the series and 10 seconds of "Leroy and Stitch" and she's absolutely taken over the franchise

Why? Because she's the cute PINK marketable plushie to go with Stitch's cute BLUE marketable plushie. Boy and girl one. Perfect for merchandise

Said merchandise usually straight up cuts Lilo out and is just branded as "Stitch"

Angel brings absolutely zero value to the franchise. She's a nothing character, who suffers from the unfortinate trend of "it is absolutely imperative that the audience knows this one is a girl"

This would be enough for me to hate her, but on top of it all. She's not marketed as a sister/cousin to Stitch, she's marketed as his girlfriend.

They're cousins.

Every single experiment was created by Jumba, and is referred to as a cousin. Only she, selectively, isn't. But just because they don't bring attention to it doesn't make it any less true.

Disney is actively and proudly marketing incest with characters who are meant to be what, 7ish years old at most? Stitch being the same age as Lilo mentally. Which, if Angel is the same, and the way she's drawn, acted and presented as a "femme fatal" of sorts. Is extremely disturbing and disgusting

The franchise that's all about Ohana, no one getting left behind, said "yeah ditch Lilo, forget your sister, we have a cute pink girl alien for you to hang out with, now pose for a photo we can slap on t shirts, backpacks, notebooks, pencils, stickers-"

That episode was always off-putting to me as a kid, and I was glad it was one episode I could ignore. Now it's a pink fucking mold that's spread to the whole franchise

tbh watching this just makes me sad as I am reminded of just how much Disney has fell off. Yes some of the older movies they had were very questionable *cough cough* Pocahontas *cough cough* but they're were still some good ones, like Lion King and Lilo And Stich. Those movies had deep meanings that were easy for kids to understand and made them think. But now they've lost all meaning since Disney is too pussy to stray away from what's been making them money (and what's ultimately going to be their downfall) these past few years and test this generation of kids ability to comprehend real world problems.

and this isn't just a Disney problem. It's a problem with the whole movie industry. Companies are less willing to take risks and come up with new and creative ideas that aren't just soulless live action remakes of movies that didn't even need it.

But besides that WHY DID THEY HAVE TO BUTCHER MY ALIEN DRAG QUEEN AND HIS CRAZY SCIENTIST HUSBAND. WHY??? I MISS THEM😭

also Nani. it just really upsets me how they changed her character from a stressed out, disorganized hard worker who was still a loving and attentive caregiver to a stressed out, disorganized college student who's a emotionally absent caregiver who treats Lilo as an inconvenience to her career. And it's even worse that I had (and still do) crush on her like-😭

Maomao is living the dream of being the smartest person in the room, being in a political situation in wich you dont have enough power to have responsabilities but also you are powerful enough so people let you do wethever you want, girl with big tiddies love her, a pathetic man that looks like a girl is in love with her, she wears cute outfits time to time, she helps other women, she even has a cat now.
