A Little Bit Longer II Jemi

Joe stood motionless, stunned by surprise as Demi ran her perfect hands up his body. Well, this was a 180. It was as if her touch left a trail of fire on his skin and a longing in his heart. He’d missed this; the feeling of her on him, of their eyes locking with more than hate behind their gaze. The older brunette’s hands traveled absentmindedly down the female’s body until they linked behind her back, anchoring her against him, closing the space between them, still moving cautiously but maybe just a little less. With no other way to get closer to her, but still wanting to, his head lowered, meeting her lips with his. Fireworks. Hundreds of fireworks were going off behind Joe’s closed eyes. It wasn’t until it happened again that he realized how much he’d craved her kiss.

Their kiss grew as Joe was physically unable to pull himself away from Demi. Every piece of their bodies fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, a feeling that Joe had been unable to replicate with anyone else in the world. Finally and with every fiber of his being, Joe broke their kiss, a smile on his lips. “Well, in that case,” he said, his face still only inches from hers. “I’ll be taking Batman tonight and bringing him back tomorrow.” He had no idea what they were doing or what this meant in terms of their relationship but Joe was dreading asking. Stealing one more kiss before this conversation had to begin, Joe reluctantly pulled away. “So…” he whispered, looking down but seeing nothing. “What does this–does this mean we’re–I’m so glad we’re trying this one more time, babe.”

As Demi felt Joe’s lips against hers she immediately was taken off guard, but she didn’t fight it. At first her eyes stayed open, gradually closing as she felt herself get lost in him. Her fingers absentmindedly ran through his dark hair as their kiss deepened. The brunette female could feel her heart race with each passing second, ultimately knowing this is where her heart needed to be. Feeling as the male broke their kiss, Demi reached out one more time, her lips finding his as she just wasn’t ready to have him stop just yet. These past days without the male were torture, and feeling him in this sense again meant everything to her.

Finally letting the male go, Demi rested her forehead against his, perfectly content with the way they were right in this moment. As she listened to Joe speak, she slowly lifted her head away from the older male, her eyes narrowing in on him. When Demi felt content in this moment, she truly meant just that. “Joe..” She said softly, processing her thoughts. How could he think that they were back together after one kiss? She couldn’t wrap her brain around the idea. Not after what he did. Demi closed her eyes, gently pushing against his chest until she was an arms length away from the male. “I..I don’t think…I don’t know if I’m ready or if I want to get back together with you.” Demi paused, her gaze shifting downward, the sick feeling in her stomach rising once again. “What you felt just now in our kiss, I felt it too. I just… I don’t know if I can trust you again. I don’t know how to trust you again.” Demi’s eyes were filling up with tears once again, her own heart breaking at her words. But she needed to be true and honest with Joe. How could she possibly give her heart to him again without having the fear that he was going to sleep with another woman the next time they have an argument. She couldn’t put herself through that again. “Plus, I’m going to Paris next week and the week after is Alex’s bachelor cruise party. I won’t be home tomorrow” She said as she backed away further from Joe, her gaze still down at the floor. She couldn’t bare to see his reaction to what she was saying to him. In an attempt to lighten the mood, Demi finally looked up at the male. “Maybe we can talk or something when I get back?”
