New episodes of Critical Role will include captions translated into Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese going forward!

At present time, this is only available for the VOD that goes live on YouTube on Mondays. Twitch doesn’t allow for multiple caption options on VODs, and at the moment there is no technology in place on either streaming platform to provide multiple caption options for livestreams. Captions during the show will only be available in English for the time being.

They are also focusing on adding caption translations to the rest of Campaign 2, from episode 20 forward. (C1 and the first 19 episodes of C2 are still part of G&S’s wheelhouse and CR, at present, has no control over those VODs.) Once this ball is rolling, they intend to offer translations on other productions as well, and in more languages.
