Here Holds the Spirit of Ezra Beane: The Skeleton 💀
I wanted to make a series of reference pictures for all the Haunted Mansion characters that I draw consistently. These are mainly for my own personal use, but anyone's welcome to draw fanart of them if they so wish (and please tag me so that I can see them!). First up is Ezra, because he is by far the easiest character for me to draw.
Originally I was going to post a headcanon sheet alongside this, but then it turned out to be multiple pages long so I'll just do that in a separate post. 😅

The Wedding Picture
"Together in Death: If the theory about [Hatbox Ghost] being the Beating-Heart Bride's groom is true, then the early days of the ride shows that even death couldn't keep them apart." - The Haunted Mansion TV Tropes page, Character Section
I've been feeling down lately, so I wanted to draw something self-indulgent. So here's my favorite ghost couple, Hatty and Emily. Hatty's wedding outfit from the living side is based off of his D23 outfit. Also I decided not to draw his hat because I figured at the angle Emily is holding him, it would probably fall off anyway.
Individual versions of each side under the cut!

🍎 Red Carpet Wally 🍎
I hope I'm not too late to the party. ^^; I wanted to draw something to celebrate Welcome Home's newest website updates. I haven't looked at it yet, I wanted to finish this first, but I am very excited to see what Clown and the rest of the team has in store!
Anyway, the idea for this drawing was, "What if, to commemorate the website updates (or maybe an in-universe revival of his tv show), Wally had to attend a red carpet event? What would he wear?" So I took it upon myself to design a fun little glamour outfit for everyone's favorite handsome little puppet. Isn't he just the most?
Disclaimer: This is a fanwork. I am NOT affiliated with Clown or the rest of the Welcome Home team. Please go support the official release.

POV: Hatty Has a Crush ;3
I got a new iPad, so this piece is the result of me messing around with Procreate for the first time (prior to this I was drawing everything traditionally, and then coloring in photoshop). I love the texture I can get with all the different brushes! Hope you all like this cute little experiment.

The artist that inspired this piece now has an art blog here on Tumblr. So shoutout to @pokethepotatowitch for enlightening me to the possibilities of Catboy Ghost Host 😸

Inspired by this post by _.renart_, here's my interpretation of Catboy Ghost Host! Complete with an appropriately kawaii outfit! Also just in time for Barbie Day! 💝

Frankie Fine and their Dual-Natured Boyfriend(s) 👓⚡🎧
Artist comments and close-up details under the cut
Suddenly had the urge to draw my favorite OT3 ever 💛💙❤
I wanted to do my own take on their designs (mainly their outfits), so here's a look at what I would have done if I was given the wheel!
I've always wanted a short hair Frankie, so I gave them the haircut I would want if I ever decide to do a Frankie custom. It's supposed to look like their hair is standing up from electricity! Also gave them their neck bolts back. I was basically going for a blend of G1 and G3. I also added charms to their chain belt, meant to represent themselves and their friends!
For Jackson and Holt, I wanted to include the yin-yang symbolism visibly somewhere in their designs, so I put it on Jackson's belt and Holt's headphones. I gave them more piercings just because. Also, even without the big chunky platforms, Frankie is still taller than them because I said so. 💙 It's kinda hard to see, but Holt's wearing trans tape under his shirt. Because I headcanon Jackson x Frankie x Holt as being t4t.
I gave all three of them stitch motifs in their designs as something to unite them together.
Here's some detail close-ups!

"Ha! Short!" "At least I'm not a bonehead like you." "What was that? Sorry, I couldn't hear you from down there!"
Don't worry Hatty, you're the more popular one anyway. lol I drew this as a bit of drawing practice to make sure Hatty and Ezra looked like entirely separate people. Since they have similar faces, I didn't want them to end up looking like palette swaps of each other. I wanted them both to be distinct in their own way. I'd like to think I did a good job of that.
Also this is the first time I've drawn either of them full body! Drawing these fun spooks has been motivating me to learn new things.
If you couldn't tell by the little blurb I wrote, I headcanon Hatty and Ezra to be brothers. Hatty is the responsible older brother while Ezra is the younger brother who decided to goof around more. And in true sibling fashion, the older one ends up shorter. 🙃

Quick sketches I did of Ezra, mostly to test out different methods of drawing his eyes. I really wanted to make sure he looked distinct from Hatty. I personally think I like the third method the best.
I'm still learning how to draw the happy haunts (and just getting back into drawing in general). This is the second time I've drawn Ezra, like ever. Unfortunately, my sibling looked him over and mistook him for Hatty, so that tells me he doesn't look distinct enough. Perhaps I should try drawing them together so I can really accentuate their differences.

Here Comes the Bride...
Here's my take on Constance Hatchaway! I did one transparent version and one solid background version because I was concerned that the veil didn't show up well in the transparent version. Her dress is based off of the one her walk-around character wears in the "Boo-To-You" parade. Gotta say, she was very fun!

"Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out to Socialize"
Hello Haunted Mansion fandom! I drew some of my favorite happy haunts! I hope you like them as much as I do. I'm very excited to draw more ghosties in the future. But for now, look upon my creation!
Artist Notes Under the Cut:
I drew Hatty first, so that's why he's a little closer up than the rest. I intended for him to look short, and everyone else is supposed to be much taller. But when I drew their heads higher up I didn't quite get it to the same scale. So we'll just say that since Hatty's hunching over all the time he's just sitting up closer to whoever is doing their portraits lol
I based Emily's appearance on both the Tokyo bride and the Beating Heart Bride replica made by brandon.hardy.art on TikTok. The replica bride in particular had this ombre color effect in the hair that I thought made her look really cool and ethereal, so that's why her hair looks like that. I drew her expression to be kinda spaced out here, but I imagine Emily to be a more bubbly character. So I thought giving her a slightly more colorful look would suit her.
Hatty might be my favorite, but Ghost Host was definitely the most fun to draw. Maybe because I'm just used to drawing skinny guys lol. He has a very unique nose shape I've never drawn before, and I like the swooping motions I can do with his noose.
After reading the Ghost Gallery, I got the impression that Ezra was a sleazy, flirty type of character. He feels like the kind of guy to make a total fool of himself because he thinks he has rizz when he really doesn't. So I tried my best to convey that with his expression. I wanted to him to look like he's trying to rizz you up to convince you to let him follow you home XD
Since Hatty and Ezra use the same head mold, I wanted to make sure they looked distinctly different from each other. I notice in a lot of official art that Ezra's hair tends to look square (if they give him any hair at all lol). So I gave Hatty longer hair while Ezra's is shorter and puffier. I also gave them different eyes, with Ezra's being inspired by how @ whatwouldwaltdo would draw him in their old asks.
Very glad I colored this digitally. Normally I'm a traditional artist and I did the sketch for this piece traditionally. But I wouldn't have been able to give them the "ghostly glow" if I had gone the traditional route, and I think it looks really good on them.
