૮ author ' s note ᜔ : uhh just a silly rewrite of one fic from my old account , it's kinda crusty in there so i thought it needed a refresher .

It was late , by then your precious children were asleep . It was a miracle how you could keep them and not just throw them out into the forest.

It was the anniversary of your dear husband , Michikatsu , leaving you. It has been a long time. You didn't know if he was alive or 6 feet under by now .. Maybe he even found a new woman for himself , a new family . Every thought you had about where he might've been only fueled the sorrow you felt.

You couldn't even cry anymore , you already dedicated so many tears and pitiful words to him it honestly felt pathetic , and that's coming from the person , who was waiting for their already lost husband. There was no hope within you but you still waited , like a loyal dog in its booth.

You worked day and night , for a few years now. You ccouldn't support yourself and two children without him , but it was pprobably your fault . Your fault for not trying to look for him , your fault for not atleast looking for a new man... What about your kids ? What would Michikatsu say if he came back and saw the condition you were living in ? The condition your own children lived in ... Oh he wouldn't be hapoy but you can't fix it on your own.

Sometimes you neighbors helped you but even that effort was becoming futile . But not that you could afford to decline it.

You were tired out of your mind. Every night you layed out the gifts that Michikatsu gave to you while you were togheter on the table and just stared at him as if you were trying to manifest him back. As if he'd feel your pain deep inside him and finally come and protect you. But no.. No that never happened.

Michikatsu was a great husband. And his gifts always had a household purpose. Dresses that were made out of materials that could easily be sewn back togheter in case of anything and etc. But there was one that stood out to you. A little pocket knife that he gave to you after one of the girls in your village got attacked and assulted . The culprit was found.. But .. He was still worried. He taught you convinient ways to fight people off and honestly you nailed it.

Sadly it became your item of choice.

Kokushibo walked into the ruins of some old home. He was hoping to find atleast anything valueble , anywhere. It reaked of blood in here , but there was seemingly no alive beings.. And he wasn't lowly enough to eat rotting corpses if there was even left anything from the decay.

The house seemed familiar but he didn't pay much mind to it. He lived for a long time , probably saw a few simillar houses in his time. Nothing out the ordinary.

With a sigh the six eyed demon left the old house without anything.

Oh what an animal he has become.
