The Latest into the new EP "Friends Aren't Forever"
Exploding onto the scene in early 2018 with their gritty, high energy punk songs, Perth band Jetty Ledge are demanding attention in their local scene. With a nod to the likes of Green Day and Blink-182, their DIY style brings back the excitement those around in the 90's and naughties will remember well.聽聽
We talked to the band this afternoon about their thoughts on their up-coming Debut EP, Friends Aren't Forever, which is set to be released this January, "yeah, we're excited obviously." Said Rama, front man and guitarist聽for the band, "It's a lifelong ambition to bring back the punk scene that I knew as a kid. It made me the person I am today, so聽to bring it back to the kids and give them a platform to express themselves thats so close to home, its super exciting."
The band recorded and engineered the EP entirely on their own, in the guts of the stunning St. Georges Cathedral's Cardogan Song School, once the the sun had set on the city, "oh man, I got lost on the way to that place so many times..." said Amber, drummer, "I was driving around the city for 2 hours one time because I didn't have a phone."
When we asked Bassist for the band Gavin, who was at the head of all the recording and mixing for the EP, his thoughts on the process, he explained, "I hated every second," he said, despite the grin on his face, "It was so scary, the computer was overheating so badly that we had to stop every half an hour."聽
鈥婽he band told us about their plans for 2019, and all we can say, is that this young band has some massive plans in the works.聽
'Friends Aren't Forever' debuts 11th of January, 2019.
