Awesome news!
Quick update everyone! We weren't updating our blog because we wanted to have solid news but we decided to record any progress we make, that being little or BIG! We are currently looking for a actual location, you know, an office, yes an office! To game develop and game jam \m/
As for the viking game we were working on, we had to put that on hold for now but we have not forgot it. Oh, and we also have an official name for our indie game dev group: J-Fusion! You want to know what it means and how we came up with it?
Well you will have to stay tuned for our next entry ;)

Pen and paper!
So we had another meeting and even though one of our main partners is on vacation at the moment (lucky him) it went extremely well, we are so eager to work on this game so much that we started to run before walking. Working already on mechanics and collisions etc, which it’s all good but we knew so little about the game, we are still working on the lore, characters and story. So we sat down and grabbed pen and paper and computers and uh well screens hehehe, we drew how we want the game look and how we want the backgrounds to look and work for the game, how the platforms interact with the player, how the enemies will work. We pretty much made a blue print of the game and then we typed and broke down a whole template for the game, how many sounds we need, what type of art we are thinking to use, we sketched a few doodles, some quick ideas on what we want some of the enemies to look. We broke down how the story of the game will be shown, cinematics or quick transitions that might show a quick story board.

So to summarize the process of what we have so far, we already have a solid structure and a feel on what the game looks like, we know what we need and how many details is needed. The next step for us and the next meeting is to introduce our main lead artist and show some serious art work for this game. Post-production is looking well, we are also waiting for our partner to come back from vacation to move forward with the other sides of this project. Until next time, stay tuned and thanks for reading!

Baby steps!
In our first meeting we did nothing but discuss the basics and brainstormed about our coming project. We sat down and listened to a potential partner that has experience with story design and playing video games professionally, after that we threw ideas back and forth and talked about what this game could be based from... story wise.

So we agreed in Norse mythology, we started to talk about the character, his/her motives, his/her goals and even what type of game play we would like to have for this project, was it going to be a platform? a shooter perhaps? maybe both?
We decided we felt comfortable with a platformer and we drew some ideas on the whiteboard, we can't share too much yet since, we still feel that we didn't decide on some aspects of the game 100% all I can say safely is that the game will be based on Yggdrasil and the nine worlds of lore.

We left the office satisfied and with homework to do, we have to do some research on the mythology chosen for this game and read as much possible to get more and exciting ideas.
Until next time... stay tuned and thanks for reading!
