Okay, guys, here's another note to a new article I posted recently.
Aoyama says he watched Izuku and his work with a quirk on the Entrance Exam! So, Aoyama really was sent to UA as a spy from Afo for the sake of keeping an eye on Midoriya Izuku!
I have previously written that Afo did not steal his son's quirk, but only blocked the quirk for a time until his son was old enough and/or society became more loyal to “villainous” quirks.
So I hold to the idea that Afo was surprised and very concerned that Izuku manifested his quirk. And so he sent his son's peer to the exam to keep an eye on him and/or prevent him from passing the exam (just not the hero department!!). And look how Aoyama smiles, he sighs with relief. After all, there are ZERO points for the Zero Score! That means Midoriya Izuku doesn't pass the practical exam. His mission is accomplished. (None of the applicants knew about the salvation points.)
Midoriya Inko was glad that her son's quirk had “awakened”, no questions asked why it had happened - she didn't ask, because she was glad that Izuku would now be happy. But she (maybe) must have discussed it with her husband, who assured her that it was okay, it happens. So Izuku's explanation about “a strange mutation, so my quirk isn't like yours or Dad's” was densely satisfying to her. (Dad was probably very concerned that his son's quirk had awakened and accidentally stole someone else's quirk, so Izuku could now enroll in UA)
Nevertheless, there were no more questions from parents. (Only concern that the quirk was breaking his bones). And it wasn't until after Shigaraki's attack on USJ that Afo began to suspect something. He became very interested in Tomura's words about a certain boy with a quirk similar to that of All Might, his surprised and interested “Oh?” speaks for itself. Afo's words are highlighted in red.
And after that, Afo watched the Sports Festival with Tomura from the very beginning. And I think those words about Izuku and Shouto he says more to himself than to Tomura (Tomura, for all my love of you, but surely even Afo doesn't take you particularly seriously). Look, Afo is sitting to the right of Tomura: after the finish of the first stage of the festival, we were shown Tomura - and a lot of free space on his right side. And that means - that we see the monitor from Afo’s own vantage point. And before the Izuku vs. Shouto match starts, we see Afo’s silhouette. (I really want to know how Afo felt and thought when Izuku blew up the minefield, now that Inko herself is there in horror.)
And Nomu in Hosu wanted to kidnap him so that Afo could meet Izuku. But no such luck.
And the very moment of Truth happened in Kamino. Then Afo's revenge towards All Might became more personal, because that's when the worst was confirmed: Izuku had OFA.
