I’ve been a bit hesitant to get involved in fandom discourse, mostly because I’ve only returned to the spn fandom in 2020 and I’m not 100% sure on my place here just yet. That said, since the rest of the world has felt entitled to jump in and share their opinions, I figure what the hey 

so, disclaimer: Supernatural is a deeply flawed show, and there is no disputing that. The main cast is made up of four cis white men, and when there is representation on the show (poc/lgbt/women) the writers seem to revel in torturing those characters and killing them off as quickly as possible. Their handling of destiel also has many flaws – saving the ‘I love you’ for the third last episode EVER, queerbaiting for 12 years, kill your gays – all of that is HELLA VALID, and if you’re upset about it you 100% have that right. 

but you know what? 

stop taking it all out on Jensen fucking Ackles. 

Jensen has said/done some profoundly fucked up things when it comes to destiel. I am not going to belittle the impact of his words/actions, and I also will not dismiss the hurt felt as a result. But it’s important to talk about the changes we’ve seen in him in the years since those comments/events. 

I want to talk about lgbt spn fans, like myself, who have found a safe space in this fandom because of things like this: 

I want to talk about the people who have found a safe space in this community as a direct result of the support they’ve got from the spn cast, and jensen specifically. 

I want to make sure people who dont have all the details don’t just believe the shitposts, and see this part of jensen for themselves. 

for me, it comes down to this:

Jensen has not always been an ally to our community, but he has become one. He is one now, and to dismiss that, to dismiss his growth, is reductive and nasty. It’s going for the easy joke, and honestly I think we can do better than that.

I've been wanted to talk about Bruce's attraction to the Joker. A lot of people say that Batman shows no attraction to the Joker. I'm going have to really disagree with y'all on that, but right now I need to talk about the sexual tension going on between theses two. It's kind of complex to be honest, but I'll try to dig deep into the whole concept of this. Lemme point out that Batman most of the times is not even aware he's actually staring at the Joker sometimes, also It's something that just happens out of nowhere. It's not even planned. He could be yelling at the joker from the top of his lungs, and he could be angry ass hell, and all of sudden he just stops and stares at the Joker, and it doesn't even feel like he's angry at him anymore. It looks like he wants to kiss him, but denies himself.

I don't need to explain why I see this in these two pictures. You can see it yourself. It's so clear. The fact that Batman is just staring at the Joker, and he's not growling, or even showing a tiny bit of hatred, and still finds himself incredibly close to this man he supposedly hate. He's not fighting him in theses cut panel's from the issues. yet he's still unbelievably close, that their noses is nearly connecting. Theses are from actual comics, though when Batman realizes how long he's been staring at the Joker. He immediately punches him, or pushes him breaking the tension between the two, and the Joker responds with a laugh, even when Batman's so call fighting the Joker he's can't help himself from making it intimate. It's more like hate with the sexual tension in the mix. His chin is touching the clowns, or even their noses are practically touching.

Batman does claims he hates the Joker, but like I said before. his actions shows that he completely doesn't. He shares a hate and love thing with the Joker. Which is confirmed in the wiki. He's being very intimate with the joker even when he's angry with him. It shows too well. The joker even leans backwards which tells me he must have been leaning very close, but Batman chin still touches his. Batman and the Joker leaning forehead on each other while their nose are touching in the first picture. This is not intimate?

When Batman finally meet the joker eyes in the man who laughs comic. The both are took by surprise of course, and the Batman's hand is still resting just above the Joker's face like he's about to attack, but immediately is struck by the Joker eyes as well, so he just stares at him. Batman obviously can't help himself when he's around the Joker. It's not something he intends to do. It just happens, Though he's have gotten close to others villains faces. It's different with the joker. It's constant, even the noses and chin thing. I don't see him touching noses or even chins with his other villains. However he has gotten close to villains face, but he shows anger or some contempt when he's very close, but with the Joker it's not always that. He just stares at the Joker sometimes, and you can see it. It's very clear. The only villain I saw him get that close to was two face. The forehead touching, but that's it. I'm not going include catwoman, because she's really not a villain to me.

We can truly understand why the Joker says in Arkham City. "I can see it in your eyes. The anger. The frustration. The sexual tension. Oh hang on is that only when you see me," he obviously sees something Batman doesn't want to acknowledge.
