As for my Jiang Yanli headcanons, hmm.

Her alcohol tolerance is almost as ridiculous as Wei Wuxian’s, even with her weak golden core, but only 3 people ever knew about that- her brothers and her husband. (Zixuan thinks it’s both scary and kind of hot)

Reads filthy romance novels with a completely straight face. Everyone thinks she’s reading some classical literature. Jiang Cheng looked into her books one time- never again. That shit traumatised him.

Learned to cook pretty early just so she could make her parent’s favourite meals when they were fighting (which was very often). Eventually, she gave up on that and started cooking for Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian, both to cheer them up and to cope with stress.

Started peeling lotus seeds for Wei Wuxian purely out of spite after hearing one too many insults towards him from the gentry and her mother. She’s not a confrontational person, but this is her version of a “fuck you”. Plus, it makes A-Xian happy, so why not? (idk if this is ooc but i love me some petty Yanli)

Practiced doing fancy hairstyles on Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying when they were kids. Wei Ying would play along with it, but Jiang Cheng would blush like a tomato and pretend very hard not to like it (he’d still be super particular about how it was done for some reason… hmm).

Words cannot express how utterly disappointed I am when it comes to helping Sudan. People are hesitant to show their support. They would even dismiss it. No, I am not making this shit up. I have been talking to people about Sudan and their reaction is lacklustre!

I know anti-blackness plays a significant role, along with the lack of media coverage (which is, again, due to anti-blackness), but this is unacceptable. Many people are dying. The country going through a flooding. Homes are destroyed. Families are displaced. Famine is claiming more lives than the RSF (Rapid Support Forces) and SAF (Sudanese Armed Forces) combined.
