We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words. ~ Ursula K. Le Guin

Don’t blame the people who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for genocide.
Blame the cop who couldn’t give up supporting genocide even in order to cling to power.

half a year of unrelenting genocide in Gaza, please don’t stop caring. they are so tired, they cannot be the only ones participating in their own liberation. we have to keep caring

i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point

Look. Politicians. I’m gonna be real with you. If you want people to make more babies you need to make the work week shorter and minimum wage higher.

Just finished listening to blowback season 2 and can’t recommend it enough to folks on the left who’ve alway had the vague idea that America has been fucking over Cuba, but also still hold some of the common assumptions about the Cuban revolution, leadership, and ussr involvement. The recordings of the American leadership from the missile crisis are shocking in just how psychopathic everyone sounds. I feel like the common narrative is JFK was this incredible statesman for preventing nuclear war…when really he was just the only one in the room who wasn’t a full on psychopath. Like he was capable of summoning an ounce of empathy, and that was truly unique in that war room. Anyway, 10/10 recommend.
See you back here in a few weeks when I finish season 3 and want to gush about how good it was as well

Hot take of the day: “Hash brown, egg yolk, I will always love you” is both absolutely deranged and one of the greatest lines of poetry in modern history.
Change my mind.
