A tribute to X Japan’s Hide, one of my favorite guitarists of all time. Sadly he died through suffocation. It seems like it was taken as a suicide, but his fellow band members believed it to be an unfortunate accident that took place after his night out drinking.

Sketch of the DMG, hat on and off. I’m sure other people somewhere still play the card game. I used to have a huge stack of Yu Gi Oh cards way back, but who knows where it’s gone now. Unfortunately, in my collecting days, the only DMG card I got was the toon version.

Amaterasu is now completed!  1. Amaterasu   Original adaptation inspired from the goddess herself and from Okami the game. 2/3.   Light refurbishing of original characters.

I haven’t created another character for a while, so I decided to run for one. I’m not sure if I can exactly call this an original character, since it’s based off Amaterasu and Okami. Perhaps I can call it an adaptation.  It was pretty difficult figuring out this type of clothing. I think there’s going to some things changed here and there as this character moves on. At least for now, there’s some hair variations too. Though it was one of the harder characters to make, I don’t think I’ve had as much fun making a character as this one.

Eyes practice! Tried out whatever type of eyes came into my head.  I started with blue eyes, since I feel like it’s the easiest to put together and pick out shades. When it was time to change the eye colors however, changing from blue to yellow/red left a green tinge in the dark areas, which I reckon might have came from the type of dark blue I used. Simply shifting it to grayscale and insert the colors back in solved the problem, while it also sharpened the colors it seems.  If anyone wants to use it for reference, feel free to download it. Since there’s so many things to draw, I’m just going to spam a whole bunch of them in an attempt to put my mind at ease. After the flurry of sketches are completed, it’ll finally be time to pick some stuff out to paint and finish. 1. For the practice runs so far, I basically went for headshots and portraits to have a chance at trying some stuff out. Occasionally in between those, I’d do a draft for future works. There’s still so many things left to draw! The list doesn’t look like it’s getting any shorter. 1. FMA Winry 2. Ducati 1198 3. Railgun dragon 4. Naso 4′s bikini girl

Sorry for the lack of updates. It’s been a busy few weeks tying up loose ends. What started as a “short” practice run has now been delayed into an unexpectedly long run. For now, it seems like the worst is done and I’m again free to draw more things. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

I’m now currently doing a short practice run. Not sure what the results are going to be, but I’m hoping to at least be able to polish my abilities a bit. I’ll be working with mainly bust or waist up portraits for the next little while.

Portrait #3 featuring Foxfire Ahri from League of Legends. Experimented with this one quite a bit, resulting in lots of time used up. I’ll most likely spend some time experimenting and practicing on smaller images. Perhaps for about a week or two.

I do sketches when I just want to practice, experiment, or take a break from doing an artwork that takes a long time. In this case, it's taking a break from the next portrait. Once in a while, sketches may be revived.

Portrait #2! Featuring Erza from Fairy Tail, using her Sea Empress armor. There's still a couple of armor of hers I'd like to draw... but all in due time. Lots of other FT Characters I'd like to draw as well!

Portrait #1! Hanekawa Tsubasa/Black Hanekawa from Bakemonogatari. There's a huge list of people I want to do portraits of! Don't know how long it's going to take to finish them all. Heck, the list probably won't even end.

Hello Tumblr!

Tonight, Tumblr will be getting one more immigrant. I'm located in Canada B.C. and I create artworks as a hobby, and maybe more!  I mainly do digital arts of fan art and my original characters, but I also do traditional once in a while.
