30th August 2020.

  Exactly one year ago, I watched Trollhunters for the first time with my dear friend, @katoo-art.

Little did I know that the story, animation, and emotions would sweep me off my feet and practically take over my life for the next year.

This wouldn’t be such a big deal if this ToA didn’t have such an impact on my life.

The experiences I’ve gained.

The skills I’ve developed.

The SKETCHBOOKS I’VE FILLED OH GEE.

The INCREDIBLE people I’ve met. 

And the things I’ve overcome.

All because of an animated series.

There are so many things I could say but I don’t think words could even begin to describe how much Tales of Arcadia means to me, or just how GOOD this series is. 

But I try to express it through my art. And I’m so, so grateful to see them appreciated by you all.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To my friends and family who listen to my endless ToA ramblings.

To my followers and mutuals who show so much love and support to my messy ol’ sketches.

To the wonderful friends I’ve met in this fandom, who absolutely makes my days.

And finally, to the Tales of Arcadia crew who poured YEARS of pure effort, skill and love into such a spectacular series, THANK YOU.

the more i think about toa, what i was going through at the time i got into it, the thoughts on it that fill me, how i view and portray the characters and their relationships,

the more i cant shake the feeling that me being That into this series was a product of not being able to really heal

Alright anon, I’ve been sick for like a week, but I was feeling better just in time to pull off a cute little Channon date idea as per your art request!  

It’s a lovely evening at the park, and Connie uses her magic to finally give Shannon the eye lasers she’s always dreamed about (even if they’re just pretend)!  In exchange, Shannon is going to teach Connie to play the guitar since a lot of her coworkers at Hex Tech, and fellow wizard-friends, are in bands and also play instruments.
