Spectral Sweethearts 1.5 inch Enamel Pins

My newest pins are FINALLY HERE! Based on one of the couples from my Ghostly Love fabric design, Spectral Sweethearts is a 1.5 inch pin featuring two cute ghosts cuddling under a star-filled heart. It's one of my favorite projects I have ever done, and you can get them here on Gumroad for $10 USD + shipping.

Full transparency, I finished them in early January. But then my city caught on fire, and it felt... weird to announce a product release when my friends, family, and neighbors were losing everything. To be completely honest, it still feels weird. So, I'm also going to use this announcement to highlight some local California groups who are doing a world of good and could use some help:

Hey, this is mostly for my mutuals, but I thought I would post it publicly just in case: my area of Los Angeles is safe, I am not in any evacuation zones, and I have pre-packed my car just in case the situation changes- which is unlikely to happen, but why risk it?

Some of the places near me have partnered with It's Bigger Than Us to collect donations for victims, and there's a good chance there's something similar in your community.

Also, like, I know my followers are good eggs, but just in case: anyone commenting 'it's just the rich' will get blocked. LA's median income is $80k/year. Most of the destroyed homes- including the ones in the Palisades- are generational homes that were bought decades ago and were occupied by middle-class families who might not be able to rebuild. So please keep your ignorance to yourself, thanks.

Hi everyone! I have been slowly working on reducing my stack of sketches that I lovingly call the Idea Pile. To celebrate the fact it is finally Spooky Season, I went through the Pile and brought this idea of tiny, simple Jack-o-Lanterns to life. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Frosted Decor

When I was looking at the requirements for Spoonflower's Ditsy Holiday contest, I was reminded of one of my very first patterns:

You can tell it was one of my first patterns, ha! 

Despite the flaws I see in this design now, I still love how I achieved the frosted glass look. So why not revisit this design, give it a little update it? Yeah, an ornament scatter is a cliche for a winter holiday design, buuuut I like it! Also, I feel like I did a better job making the white streaks look glittery this time around. Yay!

I've had these prints finished since LAST OCTOBER and somehow I just realized they were never posted on my blogs? Welp, they're getting posted now!

This series is based on my Halloween Masks in Pastel-o-Vision fabric design. I tried so. many. variations for a single print version, but every single one looked TERRIBLE. And then it hit me- they're masks. Other characters can wear them. So my single print idea turned into a series of prints, but I'm not mad about it!

Monster Girl Sweet Shops: Mint to Be Ice Cream Shoppe

Remember the series of monster girl shops I did last year? I wasn’t quite done with it yet.

Mint To Be was supposed to be the first in the original series, but my plan changed as I came up with other ideas. However, I decided to go back and finish it anyways. Why? Because the entire series was inspired by the original version of this piece- First Date.

I did like First Date when I finished it in 2014, but I don’t think I was ever quite satisfied with it. The cropping’s a bit weird and claustrophobic, the girls are a bit stiff, and the background doesn’t really sell the idea it’s an ice cream shop. It was nice to go back and give these two lovebirds a more lively location for their date.

Mint to Be will eventually be available online, but due to the number of shows I have this month, it might take a while. If you’re local to LA, please check my Instagram over the month for show details. Thank you!
