"Il n'y a en art, ni passé, ni futur. L'art qui n'est pas dans le présent ne sera jamais." - Pablo Picasso J'adore all things related to France and Brasil (give or take). Here you will also find a serendipitous collection of art, music, dance, design, fashion and literature with that certain 'je ne sais quoi', which weaves throughout life, catches me and makes me stop to ponder...soothing the soul... janet quigley Ann Arbor, USA http://8tracks.com/jntquigley http://www.noomiz.com/ human/jntquigley http://jntquigley.wordpress.com

Gilt wood ornamental with flamboyant rococo scrollwork and rocaille framing an early piece of mirror glass. Old mirror like this was produced with an amalgam of silver and mercury, and exposure to damp makes it go grey and patchy.

Art by Eyvind Earle for Disney’s SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959).
The last two paintings are from the BIG GOLDEN BOOK edition and the Sleeping Beauty Castle Diorama at Disneyland, respectively. The others are concept paintings.

French artist Nathalie Lété spent the quarantine painting her whole house.
Tumblr media
Look at the doors. She even did the floors.

This is so cheerful, though.

Furniture, too.

I’m not sure if this is the living room or the studio but I love it.

The upstairs hall.

I like the painted headboard.

I like the tiles, but not the walls and the gold, so much.

Cute guest room in the attic. Very productive quarantine.
