currently backposting (and scheduling) a few older pieces from 2021-2022 that i still like, and i'm planning to be more active on them in the future, although i will still be most active on tumblr.

if you're following me, thanks for sticking around! i've had this blog for ages, and have been creating art for even longer, but in the past year or two i've been so caught up with work and life that i've neglected my art.

i'd love to start investing more time in it now, and i still have a ways to go with brushing up on my skills, but i'm excited and hopefully there'll be more actual art to come again soon, so stay tuned :)

ALSO trying to be less concerned about finishing perfect drawings, and trying to be actually drawing and i suppose it's an always ongoing challenge 🥴

not the most consistent of years for art but i AM still trying out new things and being comfortable with drawing for myself as a priority. i'd definitely love to draw more in 2023 and that would be my main goal, i have so many ideas!

doing my 2nd ffxiv playthrough with my boy Khair! (yes his name rhymes with ‘care’, yes his nickname is ‘Khair bear’...)

he’s Sadu’s youngest sibling and has been quite babied as a result (as much as a Dotharl can be), left the steppes to see more of the world and landed up in ul’dah, and the rest is history 🦎

warrior of light: from a realm reborn to endwalker finally finished this set of headshots for j’azir! these span across seven years in my own headcanons, and a lot has changed since he was a rogue in limsa lominsa... (spoilers under the cut for all expansions, shadowbringers and endwalker especially)

anyway i worked on-and-off on these for over a month since i want to put less pressure on myself to produce art and burn myself out and even though i’m still not drawing as much as i want to, it’s working out pretty well so far :)

ARR (age 23-25): the simpler days of being a young rogue in limsa, where everything was new and exciting, in particular joining up with the scions

HW (age 25-26): a lot happened in heavsnward, but post-vault left him grief-stricken and exhausted, while still being in the middle of a thousand-year war

SB (age 26-28): stormblood gets interesting, because yet another war has been waged, but he’s thrown into a role he didn’t wish for, and apathy sets in quick (which didn’t last long as it’s redirected into single-minded rage...) 

SHB (age 28-29): the biggest appearance change is the light poisoning, and he gains glowing freckles and eyes, and hair that’s lightened several shades... these effects eventually faded but never truly went away especially the eyes and the freckles

EW (age 29-30): ...which brings us to post-endwalker, where by this point he’s gained a single blue eye thanks to the joining with ardbert (at the end of shb), and some choice facial scarring thanks to the final dance he shared with zenos 😌
