Sirhan got approved for parole and I can’t believe it. Never thought that would happen! Personally, I do think there are valid questions about the assassination, and clearly some of Bobby’s children do too. However I did see that some members of the Kennedy family argued against it too, so clearly that isn’t a unanimous opinion.
But regardless of that, I don’t see what purpose continuing to incarcerate a 77-year-old serves. If he did it, he served his time, he served longer than Bobby lived. Let him live his remaining years free.
Seeing the headlines just reminds me of what was lost on that June night all those decades ago… I wonder how different the world would be now had Bobby lived…

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. (November 25, 1960 –  July 16, 1999)
“John could sit down with kings, and he could sit down with paupers, and he could have a great time with all. He had compassion for people. He had his own kind of celebrity. He was more than handsome—he was beautiful. He was also somewhat goofy… He had spirit, soul, and humor—he could laugh at himself and at the human condition. I loved him very much.” -Christina Haag

“Joe and Jack’s friendship was legendary, marked by escapades and practical jokes, as well as occasional spikes of temper. Yet my abiding memory of Joe and Jack is at the dinner table each night, where they fed off each other’s energy, debating the critical issue of the day with Dad. Who would win the election? Would there be war in Europe? Should the United States intervene? We younger children sat at a smaller table nearby, watching and listening, wanting to know what they thought and hanging on each gripping word.”

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. I don’t know how active Kennedy tumblr is but I’m going to do my best to start posting here again!
Have some free time at the moment and I have kind of fallen into the Kennedy rabbit hole again. So if anyone’s still around, make yourself known so I can follow you!!
Hope you’re all well.

sorry I’ve been so inactive recently (blame college and travelling) BUT I just got back from a trip to Berlin where I went to a museum dedicated to the Kennedys and saw the spot where JFK delivered the ‘Ich Bin Ein Berliner’ speech! I’ll post more pics and write about it properly soon, but I wanted to share probably the coolest sign for a unisex bathroom I’ve EVER seen!!

As JFK’s motorcade progressed down the Grand Concourse in the Bronx in New York City, a bride entering a hotel for her wedding reception hailed Kennedy.  The candidate spotted her (top), leaped from his car and made her day with the two-handed handclasp that was his warmest greeting short of the kiss he reserved for babies and old ladies.  Photographed by Paul Schutzer, 1960.
