#tb Ever had that feeling where life feels like too much? I don't know how to describe it exactly but sometimes it feels like there is this pressure in your life and you are no longer at ease with it, even thou nothing necessary changed but it suddenly gets to you? I get this feeling every now and then and it's really a struggle to get out of it into a better mood without the assistance of you know, drugs. A while back I discovered that for me, playing piano, drawing or anything in that realm does calm me down and snap me out of that pressure. I obviously suck at those things, I can't draw or play piano that good, but it still calms me down regardless. I can't tell for sure why that happens but my best guess is that doing something like playing the piano occupies your conscious mind while leaving the rest present, it's like this argument between the logical and emotional parts of you are no longer affecting each other and your conscious is focusing on not fucking up thr rhythm and moving your fingers smoothly while what ever part of you responsible for your emotions kind ease into realizing that there is no reason to freak out and everything is just ok. When I am feeling that pressure I talked about earlier I don't feel like playing piano, or doing anything really, I just know consciously that doing so will help me. The will to power describes what Nietzche believed was the main driving force of human life. #nietzsche did not believe it was a struggle for survival, as many philosophers hypothesized in the past. He believed it was the struggle for power — achievement, ambition, and the striving to reach the highest possible position in life. It can be argued that human beings do not wage war or create art or write books merely so they can survive, but the greater reason, is so they can gain and enforce their own power. And this is not only just a struggle in human life, but it is the enduring struggle of nature itself. The controversy in the will to power comes from, where does this leave us when it comes to morality? I adore the work of Nietzsche mainly because of his views on morality, we have an irrational fear of a slippery slope that will get us to utter chaos if we ever thought about rethinking the morality we currently have. I talked about this in depth in an article titled "The things people call love" check it out. If u want to continue with ur insta scrolling bliss and yet u're interested in this then here is a quick take. I believe that a man's optimal situation in life is to be grossly ignorant to love, the kind that goes "fuck that shit, fuck em and next em!" It's an assholish behaviour, but I think it's a safe spot for a guy. if, and only IF he's doing it out of ignorance and not out of resentment. u see, ignorance is a fuckin bless. If u have zero intrest in love because u've never tried it and it doesn't appeal to you, then congrats u're set. But if u think that because of X reason, then u're kinda fucked. Being ignorant means u've no conflicting thoughts in ur head, u're at peace with what u know and have no interest in rethinking it. On the other hand, if u push away a feeling because of X reason, that means u have a world of conflict in ur head whenever that feeling comes. Put simply: when u're afraid and u don't want to be afraid u'll have a conflict in ur head trying to push away fear, that conflict usually revolves around courageous and reassuring thoughts. So to push away fear we think courageous thoughts. To push away sadness we think happy thoughts. But when we try to push away love? What thoughts do we think? Hateful, hateful thoughts. We hate the person, ourselves or the situation, doesn't matter we opened a door for hate, and it'll grow into resentment and a life of bitterness.
