Shot this while on a photo assignment in Burbank this week. The large dog is old, with severe hip problems, and cannot walk. Owner is trying to gather the courage to let the beautiful creature go to her final rest. The smaller dog spends most of the day tending to her best friend, licking and cleaning the eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and other parts of the animal. Heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Yes, all animals have heart, soul, and loyalty.
