Bumper film Disney ini memiliki konsep mengenai process yang telah dijalani Disney, dimana Disney menggunakan Steamboat Willie yang merupakan Film animasi pertama Disney yang menggunakan Fully-Synced Soundworks. Disaat itu, Steamboat Willie menjadi short animation pertama Disney yang sangat populer dan menjadi semacam suatu deklarasi bahwa Studio ini adalah studio terbaik di dunia, dengan tingkat kepopuler an nomor 1 di dunia.

Disney ingin menunjukkan perjalanan studio ini dengan memberikan style yang kuat akan prosesnya. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari fully hand-drawn frame per frame animation yang ditunjukkan pada bumper ini serta proses pewarnaan dan penambahan suara pada animasinya, hal ini memberikan kesan dari jerih payah serta bagaimana Disney memulai studio ini dengan sesuatu yang sangat sederhana, dibanding dengan menunjukkan 3D yang telah selama ini diproduksi oleh Disney.
Personal Thought
Style ini sangat menarik perhatian saya, karena dimana studio-studio besar lain nya sudah bermain sangat banyak effect serta menunjukkan kemampuan 3D mereka di bumper studionya, justru Disney menunjukkan sebuah kesederhanaan dan kebanggaan akan animasi terpopuler pertamanya.

Push and Pull Animation Mechanics
After a redo for this animation, i finally know how to exaggerate body mechanics movement for pushing and pulling super heavy object.
But there is so many more to learn and understand, since its timing and movement still far from correct.

10 Expression Poses
i learned a lot for this project. like, how to setup ambient light, soft shadows and using color to make the expression stronger.
Rendered using 1 spot light with no raytrace shadow, but wider penumbra angle, 3 point light and an ambient light. Surely it’s a lot of lightings, but i set it all with a low light exposure.
Note : All lights is a little bit yellowish, or used warm temperature. Since, i found out that white lights are too bad for lighting setup.

I kept my PC on overnight to render this using Maya 2017, after some revision i finally able to show the personality of this character. Thanks to my lecturer.
I used Area Light in Arnold Renderer lighting setup and set all samples to 3

Here’s my 3D Modelling of a Bedroom. Rendered using Arnold Renderer in Autodesk Maya 2017. It tooks a whole day to figure out how to set some simple lightings in Arnold Renderer (since today was my first time using it), glad to know that i finally make it done.
