As far as Pokemon trainers go I'm basically a huge badass. Any kid who enters my line of sight is going to get destroyed by my Pidgey. And if that doesn’t work? I have a second Pidgey with the exact same move set.

sick and tired of seeing these ace trainers brag about their super smart badass level 100 shiny mons.

This is Sol. She is a fucking idiot. She regularly forgets that she is a flying type and sits at the bottom of cabinets n such crying cause she doesn't know how to get up. I would die for her.

things that ARE appropriate during pride month: - taking your (crowd-safe) pokémon to pride - giving your pokémon flag accessories or using non-toxic dye - destroy transphobe with hyper beam
things that AREN'T appropriate during pride month: - recruiting the leaders of several terrorist organizations from alternate timelines where they've killed millions of people and harnessing the power of their various legendary pokémon to conquer all of reality

Hello Rotomblr! I'm Josephine, and I'm a Scientist with four pokemon! I'd rather not be super open with my region (not trying to doxx myself) or my employer (same reason), but I'm happy to share my little guys!
First, Amethyst!
[Image id: a sableye is sitting cross legged on the ground, staring at the camera. A half eaten chunk of quartz is in its hands, and flakes of it are around its slightly open mouth.]
I didn't so much find her as she found me! Well, found my rocks collection, which she ate a surprising amount of. Woke up to find her flat on her back, comatose as a komala. Shooed her out, but she kept coming back to get more snacks. Eventually she just didn't leave one day!
[Image id: a sableye sleeping in supine position, abdomen slightly disgorged and gem growths gleaming. Its entire face is sparkling with grit.]
I caught her in a pokeball, and she's been with me ever since! She mostly just sits around, explores some when she can. When we go to the local park, she usually gets tired on the way back and makes me carry her like a toddler. Also, it turns out you can buy lab grown gems in bulk if you have good enough baby-doll eyes.
Next, iPod, like that Rotomphone copycat that needed to be plugged in all the time.
[Image id: a charjabug with its face pressed firmly against an electrical socket. A small tower of random objects has been stacked on top of its back.]
One day, Amethyst decided to dig up the grass outside my apartment to look for gems. Instead, she found a grubbin, which I guess she scooped up and flung away with the rest of the dirt. Poor guy hit the wall too, ended up grabbing him with a Heal Ball. He's fine now! Mostly just sucks power from sockets, and tries to eat my power cables. Sometimes he'll scooch over and buzz at me, so I pick him up onto my lap and listen to him hum like a streetlight.
Third, Baron.
[First image id: a blue blur diving at high speed at an angry yungoos in a park. Second image id: a corvisquire perched on a hand rail in a kitchen. It seems to be eyeing the knife holder.]
A few months before I caught iPod, I put out a Flyingfeeder too see what pokemon came visiting. About a week in, I saw the angriest rookidee ever.
[Image id: a rookidee perched on the edge of an empty Flyingfeeder, glaring furiously at the camera.]
That rookidee ended up hanging around, fighting with pretty much every pokemon that came near it. Eventually, it stopped coming by for about a week. Then a busted up corvisquire landed on the Flyingfeeder without bothering to eat any of the seed, and gave me a look I can only describe as smug. Would only let me catch it in an Ultra Ball, and likes to pick fights still. Distant but will sometimes "let" me scritch its chin for a minute.
And last but not least, Flittle!
[Image id: a flittle floating along a white and gray hallway. Josephine's leg is visible, in lab attire, including some of her labcoat. its expression is focused but content]
I didn't actually catch Flittle, the job gave her to me as a sign on bonus. She's also the only pokemon I'm allowed to use in battle at work, for some reason? Not sure what fights we'd get into, I guess if some criminals break in? I've heard that's a problem in other regions, I guess they're being proactive. She's plenty well behaved and a bit affectionate, likes to get her head pet, but isn't that far behind Baron in terms of picking fights when she can.
[OOC: Hi, I'm brand new to rp, and not sure if I'm doing this well, but I wanted to try! Hopefully I'm using the right tags ^^;]
