now that i have seen jonathan sims interact with another one of his assistants, i want to say something (again) about the way he treats martin

here are some things that martin says about jonathan sims during his statement from episode 22 (unabashedly stolen from the unofficial transcripts):

"I didn’t want to come back to you without due diligence, though – I’ve learned that lesson"

"Also, you’re going to think I’m an idiot when I say this"

"I was worried I hadn’t really done enough investigation for you"

"I just wanted to take a picture of the thing. To prove to you that it happened – you’re always so quick to dismiss these statements and I wanted proof for you."

"To be honest I didn’t, didn’t expect you… to take it seriously."

see how he doesn't feel comfortable, and that he's never doing enough (he put his life in danger for this investigation)? how it's implied that there has been some sort of punishment when he came back empty handed before? how he thinks jonathan sims believes he's an idiot and won't give credit to what he saw? and his shock when it turned out jonathan sims took him seriously (after, allow me to remind you, he basically said that he would not vouch for martin)?

now cut to two episode later, where jonathan sims and sasha have a casual conversation about the way "calliope" is pronounced. he's amicable, even banters a bit (if you squint). he's not mad that she's interrupting him in the middle of his statement. he even says "good work".

good work??? you bet he never even thought about saying "good work" to martin once in his miserable life

conclusion: dude has no business being this nasty to martin for absolutely no reason, and also fuck him (derogatory)

(note: this post is definitely not about hating sasha, i'm sure she's lovely, this post is definitely about hating jonathan sims who should get his shit together and start treating all his assistants with respect)
