Anyways I’m back but this time not for spyxfamily for once… it’s about something new I’ve been obsessed with and that is… Professor Layton!

Anyways I’m here just to rant and speak my mind about the new game that’s (supposed) to release this year because this app doesn’t have a character limit on posts. So don’t expect anything too meaningful here lol

First things first is the new artstyle

They’re drawn in a different way than all the previous artwork. Specially colouring and the outlines are a little different, oh and Laytons shirt now has buttons added and I think the belt was added too?

Luke is obviously older and by the description seems like it’s gonna take place right after the Unwound Future post credits scene with Layton going to America to visit him. Design wise it’s pretty good for a new and older look, I don’t mind the bowtie. The only thing that bothers me a little is that they made his pupils really large for some reason??? But anyways

Since it’s gonna take place in America that means there’s a high chance not many past character will return at all, except for like, Flora or something if Layton actually remembers to take her with him to America (which isn’t likely considering things he’s done in the past lol)

ANYWAYS gameplay wise the new look is a little jarring but not bad. The ONLY worry I have is if they ditch the animated cutscenes and just do in game ones with the 3d models instead. I’ll be very upset if they do that.

Well I wish there was more to say but Level5 has been very secretive about this game so yeah lol, just gonna have to wait for now. I’ll post more spyxfamily stuff if I ever get any ideas
