Kashmir
Kashmir, an essence linked with refinement, winsomeness, beauty grievously intertwined with destruction, ruination and abolition. The remarkable scenery of the place is breathtaking with its charming magic lakes and magnificent mountains but that doesn't fill up half of the charisma as it takes you on the starry ride to the milky way, picture-perfect wonderful display with each step taken further, the delightfulness is everlasting.

Positioned in India for most part with bits stationed in Pakistan and China, the place has been chosen for territorial controversies for decades now. Going back to the partition days where the country was dividing hastily , every state with regards to the religious differences custom"ed" simply by Islam and Hinduism were separated. Unlike Junagarh, a state given to India for the sake of majority and land space, Kashmir wasn't found very lucky with the majority pinned to Muslims as the Sikh ruler favored with India to keep the vast grounds, hence the heat between the countries begun leading up-to four wars with bitter distasteful continual.
Multiple sudden ceasefires has been made since then, peace movements by everyone with power but regardless of all the efforts and shakedowns, the dispute still remains. With India and Pakistan being the protagonists of the story, China meddles along as a third party carrying 15% of the land with Shaksgam Valley and Askai Chin region.

With several opinions on the table, the answer still goes unanswered. On a poll in Pakistan in favor of either attaining Kashmir or letting it be independent , 48% voted for forming it with the country while 47% voted for it to be independent while India supposedly believes it belongs to them.

The land of natural artistry is admired by many, but the tourism rate dropped down awfully with alarming terror news every once in a while. Kashmir being known for numerous things has poignant points like K2 being the second biggest mountain in conjunction to the big amount of glaciers providing water to millions of Indian Citizens aka another part of the reasons why people claim Pakistan would want Kashmir to help aid to the water issues.
Requests for voice from the suffering people has never had the chance to be issued despite the trials to let the deserving decide for their justice.
“Indo-Pak war is no solution to the Kashmir issue and instead, peace should be given a chance. However, the issue will stay put if the international powers don’t pressure India into making sincere and tangible moves to resolve it in line with the UN resolutions,” the former lawmaker told ‘The News’.

Meanwhile both countries stick up to their motives while asking for their favors, the solution stays on the edge for both promoting to further raging discussions. With mixed opinions from both sides from the general public, vast majority wants to settle down things with peace.
“The revocation of Article 370 of India’s Constitution by the BJP government is meant to turn the Muslim majority in the occupied Kashmir into a minority to seek electoral win. It won’t serve the purpose and rather, it will help intensify the freedom struggle,” - Aisha Syed.

Kashmir in itself has gone through major human rights slaughter with prohibition of contact to hulking amount of deaths in the most painful and disrespectful ways possible. While some part of the media roars other stays silent and continues with their lives simply giving up hopes for any better as their hasn't been for the past decades.
According to Wikipedia, in the entire state, over human rights abuses was 43% committed by Indian forces in Kashmir. Militants have also committed crimes. According to Hon. Edolphus Towns of the American House of Representatives, around 90,000 Kashmiri Muslims have been killed by the Indian government since 1988.

"Our people were killed. I saw a girl tortured with cigarette butts. Another man had his eyes pulled out and his body hung on a tree. The armed separatists used a chainsaw to cut our bodies into pieces. It wasn't just the killing but the way they tortured and killed." - An old Kashmiri explained, tears brimmed in his eyes in the refugee camps of Jammu as the BBC reporter notched the information down.
The nerve-wrecking incidents are never-ending as the recent tele-casts always have something intimidatingly outstanding to tell piece by piece enough to shake one's heart to the core but somehow some people are never surprised. The UN council has reported dominant human rights violation multiple times.
"it is our request that you cannot simultaneously be talking and at the same time the terror machine is as active as ever before. Once Pakistan moves away from this terror-induced coercion, we will be very happy to engage productively with Pakistan to resolve all outstanding issues." - former prime minister of India.
According to India , another large-scale reason behind Indo-Pak rivalry is its connections with the terror packs as it threatens security, they must let it go and things can turn out for the better for both the countries.
In 1995, the first ever opinion poll was held to do an outlook survey which resulted in 72% of the people asking for independence while 19% pinned them with Pakistan, however, only 7% of the people wanted to stand still with India.
"I want to stress that it is only the people of Kashmir who can decide the future of Kashmir. It is not that we have merely said that to the United Nations and to the people of Kashmir; it is our conviction and one that is borne out by the policy that we have pursued, not only in Kashmir but every where....I started with the presumption that it is for the people of Kashmir to decide their own future. We will not compel them. In that sense, the people of Kashmir are sovereign." - Nehru stated but the promises were never kept as the words were simply ignored in the future and were later described as political tactics by general public.

The feud and bickering still continues after more than six decades, as the Countries still strive to find a solution to peacefully end the Kashmir Scrimmage with millions of blood , sweat , tears and emotions invested, the World hopes for a good tomorrow.
