Family salvation
I saw his face,
hands, feet and wings.
First like Mary,
and afraid like the other Mary.
Recognising his soon leaving;
my fear.
God’s vessel that delivers God’s will here
in complete obedience and discipline
Till the end
never missing his scheduled steps
Everything as the Lord commands.
He never left us,
that present apportioned to each.
For he is constantly seeked,
constantly referred to and constantly remembered too.
Physically undefined
but in human understanding none can deny.
God’s vessel that delivers God’s will till
the end you’ll see it appears like lightning
Time; our guardian,
back in his snow like clothing.
“It is a human’s revelation!
The concept of a human mind!”
Blasphemy! What atrocious audacity!
You may predict the harvest ripe
And expect the changing tides
But don’t forget the one behind
It is our gift given
From Sovereignty up above
To each apportioned
Every season as Solomon’s depiction
From ‘in the beginning...
To be with all. Amen.’
And even now
The control has never left His hand.
Our portion I agree
Since Amazing Grace knows what’s best
Our limit I accept
Since my last breath would bring me back
Our moments I embrace
Regardless of joy or pain,
they’re still preciously had.
My fear is but not for me
Since I know God and God knows me
Those tears trail the angel’s tail
My grands yet following heaven’s rail
And but for them
The time would come
Still
Sooner too soon
Even later is becoming too soon...
Can’t I cut up faith in ways
To spread coverings for those unsaved?
“No,” negotiation denied.
Some; Saved by grace when they receive
Some; Saved by faith when they be and lived
Some; The unfortunate of free will’s tragedy
Doomed indeed.
But God, some’s ticking is still on going.
With the way ahead and kingdom at hand
How can one close the gap?
In rushing I blamed your slowness
In urgency I developed doubts
In desperation I burst in anger
In crying over the broken
Then I began to pray;
Lord, remember mercy.

Without grace
And while you rushed to demonstrate your strength, you exposed your insecurity.
And while busying yourself being offended, you trampled on respect and honour.
And while riding high on prideful triumph, you conveniently pretended that the human struggle doesn’t exist. The struggle to find the right words at times, or the right thoughts at times, or the right delivery of discourse at times. And all those which are ever in the process of being self-disciplined, what should be personal and private were already dragged out into the light of shame prematurely.
We are all work in progress. Not all good people are good from their birth. We are all trying. And without grace, true strength that is under control, one day, we might just stop trying.
Petty. Pity.

Once
I had the power to fly
Through stories but they said
‘You are just escaping reality’
And how
I wished I lived
Within the pages and not stuck
Between the lines
I'll see magic with
My very own eyes
And now
No longer could I fly
Because
The poison has spread deep down
And now the stories
Hold poison
How
They taught literature not easy
Into life bringing poison so
Complex
There’s
Too many things to change in
Reality
The price is the
Simple of the mind
Deep down
All agendas are
Hidden and the
Shadows are often
Neglected and forgotten
Now
With closed eyes
I can see the world in
Pain
And how
Can I lend my
Shoulder to share this
Burden and so
I shared my water
And my laughter
And hoped
Perhaps
They can see more beauty
In this world that is
Broken and wash
At the
Well of
Abundance

Just
Holding it together
Is a girl called
Strong
Even when no one knows
But her
And the predator
‘There’s no need
To make it bigger than it is
Or worry
Others along with me’
So I’ll
Rather keep it in
But I know there’s a
Strength of a different kind
To aspire more
Women to the open
‘We are strong
To fight our own battles and
Win
In complete victory’
It’s not
Easy
But believe
Half of the world is our backing
At least and keep
Your sisters safe from
The hand of the creep
So sing
The terrors in the light
They will flee
So bright like the sun as the
Love comes in
And watch
The wounds heal properly
It’s okay
Whichever the way
Just know
That you are strong indeed
Girl
You are strong
Indeed

Desk bound
Seating down on my hinge
Request piled within the hour
Buried under five, and six, and seven and eight
Phone cords are my shackles.
Losing the excel
With crossed eyed attention
From late afternoon lunch
Minutes of five, and six, and seven and eight
There's no time for a fancy coffee drip
But a 3-in-1 would do the trick.
Watch it clocked to five, to six, to seven and eight
Running a complete round and over
Watch the calendars changed five, and six, and seven and eight
Years rush by, it's over.
Even the doctor explained with a picture
Should I understand though I can't solve the pain
Pointing down from C five, C six, C seven and eight
Counting drops from five, and six, and seven and eight
This drip to vein
A new shackle.

Identity
With words I described how the clouds move.
With words I described how the rain falls.
Observance over sovereign,
I am my own narrator because.
Stories start with mine,
Sentences start with 'I',
The world witnessed through these eyes
Fixedly set before this mind.
Differences intended
To strongly remain one of a kind.
Unique spun through diva stunts,
A bland personality would not take the chance.
I am my own protagonist because.
Basking in the glorious goodness
Also the same spot shadow appears.
The sound of a second voice
Secrets stirring inside.
Think I wouldn't recognised?
That snare and snicker
Side tripping joy for mine and others.
The ugly within, cursing behind an empty smile hanged,
The human nature disguising the familiar sin hated.
Then finding, a lesser fear in physical foes
Than my stubborn unbelief and pride.
That time I forgot I am the light,
I am my own antagonist because.
Filling up as well
The round and flat characters.
Varied references through different eyes
Varied importance through different times
I am a support,
An agent of growth,
A visitor, a judge, a witness, a grudge
A friend, a foe, a dispute, a peace
Appease!
In tact I try to be
This I know, I am not my own.
A mere link in network galactic
Intertwined as a story of one
His story!
Time of quietness in a formless night
I am alone yet I am not alone,
I am my own yet I am not my own.
Because it's your identity echoed,
"I am who I am"
Submission to sovereign
Seeking will of author ultimate.
Just (His justice)
Right (His righteousness)
In love (in His love)
I am a servant, a child,
In His name I'm found
A heir, a co-heir,
On earth as it is up there.
I am a testimony of love, of grace, of mercy and peace
Promised by my creator
Fulfilled, fulfilling, will be fulfilled
In Christ.

What's up What's down
I saw it clearly, danger, from the corner of my eye. But they played their invisibility when the focus is just getting ready. Their sly wit smelt the trap before the cheese is placed. And proof they go, hiding their trails, easily camouflaged under the world's shifting face.
It's possible, though, to pull their rat's tail from within the mind's eye. By keeping one's standard to what's in the light, what's in the right. Any other smartness cannot overcome the pure burning holiness. And perish they shall, remained the purified, such is a heavenly warfare led by legions of the sky's.

A Friend to Friend
"Can I help you with this?"
Begins a stirring of guilt self inflict
"No need, no need"
Because adding bother – a grave sin
"Can I help you with that?"
Deflecting serving acts by instinct
"Really, no need"
Automated response – the right thing
"How can I help then?"
Not a mere polite trait
Reflects the extra miles within
Already taken – already given
The self made high walls –
'I shall serve and not be served'
Put up distance by a wave of hand
Build barriers against a Friend.
Takes special grace to curb false humility
Giving others the serving opportunity
Burst your own soap fortress when you agree
With a sigh, a smile
And a thanks.

Yellow
by Jovey E. Huang It is a strike of lightning. No, not the violent purple veins But the wonders of dawn. No, not the feisty angry flames But the magic within the stars. A guide orchestrating the sky, Radiating beauty vanquished the infinite dim. It is the corns in the fields. No, not those unbirthed from their leafy wombs But the delicious ghee. No, not the pale churned milk But the fragrance from a golden shower tree. In the tropical land, Marshalling the pursuit of a snow-like dream. It is the rawest unpolished gold. No, not that ditto fakes of a fool's stone But the wake-up smack of ginger. No, not that hue elaborated braids But the soft fickle of the night candle. Emitting light and warmth, For that yellow girl with her little sunshine beam.

Skyside Down in the Lukewarm Waters
by Jovey E. Huang When the ocean starts turning colours And the sky starts sinking vessels, Won’t kites drown with that monochrome blue rainbow? When princesses start courting princes And little lambs start scaring grisly wolves, Would the bombs explode into a fireworks show? When the winds stop blowing And the stars stop blinking, Would rain be exchanged with flame instead? When man stops thinking And woman stops loving, Would there still be life ahead? When sand becomes salt And swamps become crops, Would greed be able to salvage this world? When one plus one becomes three And all problems become free, Had not liberty condone the lawless worms? When your next door neighbour ends their judgement And the rule over earth ends at self-destruction, Would dust hold any more importance? When you realised that the world is not always right And you would lose yourself without a worthy fight, Are you sure you don't know the significance?
