Weird request! does anyone have the link to the 1990 Phantom miniseries that was going around on here a while back? The one where it was the “rare” one?

Can’t stop thinking about that theatre post that said RENT is the reason why Theatre kids care about their impact on the world. Like...bish, RENT is a plagiarized mess of a show. Find better shows.

Remember how just this year Lin Manuel Miranda blocked people on twitter asking him to speak out against the sexual predator in the WSS revival?

Ummmm...idk if you know this....but the institution that is American theatre is incredibly racist.
Case in point, out of all the shows listed here, only one has a composer of color. ONE.
Broadway is not as revolutionary as you think. There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done.
Theatre kids listen to Hamilton, Les Mis, Newsies, and Anastasia. It's no wonder we are understanding of revolutions.
We listen to Bandstand and Waitress. It's no wonder we root for those who have their voices taken away.
We listen to Come From Away and Mean Girls. It's no wonder we have a sense of community with others.
We listen to Amelie and Tuck Everlasting. It's no wonder we care about being kind.
We listen to Dear Evan Hansen and Heathers. It's no wonder we care about the truth.
We listen to Tick Tick Boom! and Rent. It's no wonder we care about our impact on the world.
"There's change coming once and for all" and you can bet the theatre kids are going to be right there, fighting for equality.

Disney not wanting to deal with the union is one of the main reasons why Hunchback never went to broadway.
It’s absolutely devastating that Frozen is closing.
But i honestly think it’s because Disney doesn’t want to deal with the union. The show has a US tour, plus Hamburg, Sydney, Tokyo, and London productions in the works. Frozen was a mild success on Broadway and I think Disney wants to put that money into other productions where a union isn’t mandated for a production.

Ok, those of you who were in the Phandom around 2013-2014 might have known this guy. We just found out that he is indeed in prison.
This is a strong message that if something FEELS WRONG, it probably IS WRONG.
Major trigger warnings for the article (CSA, rape, etc)
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-45369931
Some of you may have seen reblogs of an incident in the Phantom of the Opera fandom where Tumblr user aidansimonbradley sexually harassed sopranomonroe. Some of you have reblogged, some of you have liked, and some of you came forward with your own stories (to which I am very, very sorry to hear).
But a good portion of you perhaps gloss over the daily ‘read-more’, thinking it’s something unimportant. This is VERY important, because the user who has done this is someone who has gotten a lot of appraisal – may it be for his ‘good looks’ or ‘singing voice’.
This cannot be silenced. This cannot be ignored. This does not need to be on To Catch a Predator for one to know this is wrong. He knew what he was doing to these girls and to the fifteen year old.
So I am asking you please, to take some time to read the post and reblog. You’re not only helping the girls who have been suffering, you’re preventing the same thing from happening again or to yourself.

carolineinnerb: Hello, dear ones. I’ve been off of social media for a few months now, and I know it was the right decision to make for myself. I was getting wrapped up in how others perceived me, how random people across the country were commenting on what I do, how I look, my opinions, my choices. (Both positively and negatively) It made my anxiety skyrocket. The one place I felt safe and comfortable was when I was working onstage in Frozen playing Anna. To be challenged in every way possible as a performer, and rising to meet those challenges felt amazing. To share such an important story for communities across America felt so humbling and joyous. And now to be without this art, without the beautiful talented artists who made my every day on tour so special is honestly devastating. All I can do is look back and be thankful and grateful for the gifts and lessons it has taught me so far, and hope and wish that we will get to return to Arendelle soon. Until then, I hope to challenge my own creative mind, to reconnect with loved ones from afar, to take action in helping this country find its footing again however I can, and keep my darn chin up like Anna would. “Let’s fill this world with light and love” ❄️ ❤️ @frozenbroadway #frozentour #artistssupportingartists
#i fucking love caroline#she was the firsr person to play Ariel in MN and she came to the production i was in#shes the actual best

Fuck, I did a WHOLE RUN OF A SHOW playing the romantic lead of a guy who assaulted me (not in a major way but traumatizing nonetheless).
Maybe I’m bitter because Nini is a lot like the mediocre singer/songwriter girls who got the leads in my high school despite the ensemble having AMAZING triple threats. But whatever. Long story short, Nini sucks.
I’m finally watching High School Musical the Musical the Series, and all I can say is...Nini really is the actual worst.

Like I’ll say this, if anyone ruined the show, it was literally Nini who wants to be a professional actor and yet can’t seem to stay in character to save her damn life. Honey, I was once in a show where a girl BROKE HER WRIST right before going onstage, and she still did the show.
And the second she was given harder choreography, one of her options was to just give up? Instead of working hard and improving herself? Gorl, the unprofessionalism is far too high.
I’m finally watching High School Musical the Musical the Series, and all I can say is...Nini really is the actual worst.
