The thought actually crossed my mind that it isn't just Pauline that is younger, DK is too. Like I know it is just the art style of the game but seeing DK have a rounder, softer-looking design evokes a teenage DK trying his best to help child Pauline.

That's not actually something that crossed my mind. Like, I'm a Rosalina/Pauline crackship believer because I've seen some cute art but that's not relevant to DK Bananza. If anything the found family Wreck-it Ralph vibes I get from DK and Pauline's relationship in Bananza are the first thing I think about lol. Big guy wants to help this kid achieve her dreams and that's beautiful.

with the trailer and announcement of Splatoon raiders, it made me think of your Splatoon stuff and how it literally just itched and tickled my brain in just the right way.
