Jsuki; Silent Siren's "Just Meet"

This single was released last year, and was first announced at their Shinsekai tour, at the Hokkaido stop. It's an upbeat love song about a girl that wishes to get the guy of her dreams. The MV is also super bright and adorable, you'll love it!

This song is also included in their GIRLS POWER album. I personally didn't get the album, since I've got all the major singles beforehand.

Jsuki; PENTAGON's "Gorilla"

This is Korean boy group, PENTAGON's first-ever Japanese album release. It's been a while, but since I like PENTAGON, I bought it when I was in Tokyo last year. It seems only TOWER RECORDS have it? I did look for it when I was in another CD shop (can't remember which one), but I didn't find it.

I'm still more used to listening to them in Korean though X'D It feels weird when they're singing it in Japanese hahaha. Their pronounciation is all really good though. The album also features original Japanese songs, such as "Get Down" (for Type B of the album). The song isn't half-bad actually~ probably just lacks promotion.

Got Wooseok for my random trading card~ I believe it's E'dawn on the flip side, but I currently can't remember.

Jsuki; back number's “All Our Yesterdays Tour 2017”

The latest DVD/BR release by my favourite Japanese male band! This concert was from their nationwide arena tour, which ran from February till June 2017, and this live in particular was of their 4th June Saitama Super Arena show. Because tickets were so hard to get and due to popular demand, this DVD/BR was released.

As usual, I love their songs and thus, also really enjoyed the live concert. They sang a ton of their most popular songs, from "Christmas Song" to "Happy End", as well as their old-but-gold classics, such as "Kaigan Doori" and "fish".

Jsuki; Alexandros' “Mata, Ashita”

This is Alexandros' first single in about 10 months. They've been getting more and more popular nowadays, even embarking on fashion endeavours (Yohji Yamamoto anyone?). I really liked the A-side, but the B-side ("I Don't Believe In You") is also really good for me too.

Also, look at the bonus that came along with the limited edition version of this single. Love the wristband, the colours are just gorgeous. I'll def like to wear it to a live.

Come this August, the band will not only be doing their first ever one-man live, "VIP PARTY 2018" @ the ZOZO Marina Stadium, but will also be dropping a brand new album sometime this Autumn! Excitesss

Jsuki; BTOB's "Brother Act"

I'm such a sucker for CUBE's artistes, specifically their male idols. Besides stanning my CUBE chicks and PENTAGON, I also really, really adore BTOB. They're always so hilarious and funny, but they're also such ballad kings that it blows my mind. Their latest album, "Brother Act" was also such a good listen.

Their lead tune, "Missing You" practically broke my heart. (Hyunsik composed it and he is just amazing like that) The MV was also well-shot, showcasing all of their acting chops, and the song itself was brilliant and which also went on to be very well-received by the audience. Some other memorable songs on the album also include "Blowin' Up", "Dream" and "Running Into Breakup". Overall, it was a strong album that I listened to often back when it came out.

Also very happy that by complete good luck, I got Sungjae's CD plate and mini-poster! I've also traded my bookmark to receive Sungjae's, and having Ilhoon's PC I'm completely fine with since he's one of my top 3 favourite members too.

Jsuki; DENGEKI Girl's Style October 2017 Issue (Feat. Nil Admirari no Tenbin Kuroyuri Enyoutan)

I'M SO SORRY that this is so terribly overdue... but I think I did take some really nice photos so there you go.

I'm playing Kuroyuri btw~ so far I've only finished Akira's route because I'm that distracted by other games (looking at you Pokemon and Mario Kart 8) but I'll get back to it when I can!

Jsuki; B.L.T. November 2017 Issue (feat. Keyakizaka 46)

A super loaded 20th anniversary copy of B.L.T. magazine. I must confess that I've never bought even one copy of the regular B.L.T. magazine before (please don't think my love for my favourite Japanese female idol groups is any less), but this one was so thick and packed so many female idols inside that I had to.

There were really a lot of gorgeous spreads~ will recommend if you're overall a Jpop idol fan!

Jsuki; back number's "Mabataki"

I love this song ;;;; ;;;;

back number's latest single is yet another wonderful, heartbreaking and heartfelt tune, which reminds me a bit of their Christmas Song a bit?? (Maybe 'cause the season and all was just right too) This A-side is also the theme song to the movie, "Hachi-nen Goshi no Hanayome Kiseki no Jikka" or 'The 8-year engagement', starring veteran actor, Sato Takeru. I think I teared a bit just hearing this song go with the trailer...

The B-sides were both really enjoyable songs too. I especially liked "Yume nanode areba", but "ARTIST" was great for me as wel. Is it possible for me to dislike any back number song? Mhm, I'd think not.

Jsuki; TWICE's "One More Time" single

The super popular female idol group, TWICE kickstarted their reign in Japan with this single! "One More Time" is a really catchy bopper (literally like the phrase 'Gimme gimme' was looping in my head for a bit when I first got this). Although the Korean members aren't fluent in Japanese (although Dahyun is making the realest effort I feel, she's so cute), I guess that's why you have 3 Japanese members in the group for.

I was just disappointed cos for both my random PCs, I got the group ones... better luck next time hopefully!

I’ve been away for so long

But it doesn't mean I've not been buying stuff and keeping up with what's going on.

I'm not sure where exactly to hop back in on the wagon, but I think I'm just going to post whatever I like, even if it means the release dates might be less consistent :'D

Jsuki; WANNA ONE's 1 x 1 = 1 (TO BE ONE) album

Ever since watching Produce 101, I've also (quite naturally) became a fan of WANNA ONE. I say WANNA ONE but tbh I'm really only a huge fan of Lai Guanlin, the rapper and maknae of the group. I'm really only okay with the songs in the album, but they're all addictive in their own way (especially when you've watched many performances of them multiple times XD). If I really have to pick one, I'll say "Burn It Up" is most addictive for me! But to sing at the karaoke or something, "Energetic" and "Wanna Be (My Baby)" is a lot easier.

The album also comes with many goodies! Both versions differ a bit, but they both come with a photobook, flipbook, lyrics booklet, golden ticket, group & individual random photocard, group & individual random sleeve, group & individual random cover and poster. As someone who buys A LOT of Japanese albums and DVDs...I am not used to paying what I consider a cheap sum for this amount of content. It just doesn't happen within the Jpop industry XD

ALSO, IT'S HARD TO COLLECT A FULL SET OF YOUR FAVOURITE MEMBER'S STUFF. I managed to get all of Guanlin's (photographs above were before I got my sky ver. cover & sleeve), but it was really after a lot of determination xD

I've actually ordered the both MWAVE signed albums, Taiwan version and also bought both the Japanese editions as well when I hit Tokyo recently. To date, I have bought 7 albums (and have no plans to buy more since their repackage album is coming up in...just 2 weeks later...)

WANNA ONE is practically everywhere, be it on TV or group concerts or endorsements, and are currently on their fanmeeting tour around Asia. They'll also be dropping a 2nd mini-album come early November, so please do look forward to their activities!

Jsuki; SKE48's "Igai ni Mango"

SKE48's latest and 21st single, as fronted by Obata Yuna for the very first time! (This girl is only 15 :O so shocking, she's so young). Following the usual AKB group formula of bubbly idol pop, "Igani ni Mango" is a fun single overall. Not feeling the B-sides so much, but at least the A-side was cute for me.

Super happy that my shop photo was of Kimoto Kanon too! Meanwhile, my random photo was of Yahagi Yukina.

Jsuki; Nogizaka46's "Nigemizu"

Nogizaka46's 18th single! The centers are Yoda Yuki and Ozono Momoko (2 members whom, unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with...) The single was also the 2nd Nogizaka single to sell over a million copies, proving Nogizaka46's rising popularity.

"Nigemizu" is a really refreshing summer single for me (although I felt the costume made for their lives for this song weren't very fitting XD). "Under" is also a really good song too!

My copy came along with a bonus poster featuring the CD-only version artwork, a nationwide event ticket and a random photo~ so the usual stuff. The group has also released their latest 19th single earlier a week or so earlier, titled "Itsuka Dekirukara Kyou Dekiru".

Jsuki; UVERworld's "TYCOON"

Haven't bought a UVERworld CD for the longest time ever, but I guess it's fine cos all their hit songs are now compiled within here... (: After watching the live action movie for "Gintama", which UVERworld sang the theme song "DECIDED" for, I instantly went home to purchase this album, because a fire was just suddenly within me.

To me, UVERworld will always be one of the most awesome Jrock bands ever. Their energy is insane, and you can just tell the amount of dedication they pour in and the experience they've got. So amazing. I not only enjoyed the main CD, but also the live CD inside this limited edition. Feels like I'm bathing in the live concert energy as I listen to it.

The LE also comes with a huge square poster, slipcase and photobook.

Jsuki; Longguo & Shihyun - the.the.the

(※ NOT JPOP RELATED)

Longguo and Shihyun are a duo that also found fame post-Produce 101. Although Shihyun dropped out quite early on in the show, due to health issues, Longguo made it pretty far and was ultimately ranked 21st amongst all 101 trainees. That was an amazing feat! Now, the two are back, debuting with their 1st album as a duo under their company, Choon Entertainment.

THE VISUALS. I'm actually most wowed by the art direction of this whole album. As a creative, it's really a treat for my eyes, and the boys look super good from start to end as well. The whole photobook is really precious, and included inside is also 3 postcards and 3 photocards at random. Also got a huge poster! Everything is just super wonderful.

Songs-wise, I really only like the lead tune, "the.the.the". I think maybe it's just that they're lacking in vocals? Although they can both be trained as they go along. I must also commend that "the.the.the" has a super nice MV; it's really good for a debut rookie effort, especially when Choon is not some huge and famous company like SM or YG. I hope the duo will have more projected in future together! I'm really looking forward to them!
