Married Thrice to Salted Fish
I was thinking of looking at my “on-hold” list and see if I can continue one of those stories, but I have a feeling I will start something new instead hehe.
Hehe, I'm not often right, but this time I was. I started and finished "Married Thrice to Salted Fish" and I loved it. It's getting a physical English release at the end of this year as well and I may have pre-ordered that one as well.
It feels great to find something I enjoy reading that I don't want to put it down. It also feels awful to find something I enjoy to read that I don't want to put it down.. I have to put it down, because I have to sleep, otherwise I'll perish at work the next day :')..
119 chapters and in total 30 extras. The first part of the extras happens right after the main-story. The other, I'm not gonna spoil ;d. I am going to spoil a little bit about the story.
So we have our Lovely MC Lin Qingyu, who wants to poison everyone who pisses him off. Love that for him, and we have our Lovely ML, who I'm not going to name, is a transmigrator who loves seeing Lin Qingyu doing bad thing. He's also my spirit animal. Born to be a Salted Fish, forced to be a working adult.
This does makes me want to read a bit more about transmigration. Who needs to go back to their on-hold list or plan-to-read list, when I can find new stuff and read that instead <3

Welcome to the Dream World
Hi! This time I did finish this story! But I don't know what to say about it. It is ok, I guess? I didn't hate it. But I believe the romance was a bit lacking. Not sure what I was expecting from them, especially since one is just a mad-scientist and dissect every enemy/player their brain when they perish :')..
Other than that, I quiet enjoyed the story itself ^^. I did remember that towards the end in the translation, the pronounce of the ML often changed to She, I don't know why.. Sometimes I am thinking of somehow learning Chinese. But I'm not too much of a language person.. I do speak two, and I'm surprised about that haha.
Anyway, I was thinking of looking at my "on-hold" list and see if I can continue one of those stories, but I have a feeling I will start something new instead hehe.

I finished the danmei! thank goodness. So, the main story is finished at chapter 59. Which is kinda weird, because chapter 59 is called: "Extra: Intermezzo", but at the end of it, it says: "End of Main story". I don't know, do what you want with this information xd. Beware for spoiler about the whole thing.
But I do and don't recommend this story. There is a lot of triggers and Yada deserves a better ML.. I don't like the ML. I'm sure, most of the intimate interactions are noncon.. I just have to mention it, but at one scene, they were both drunk and ML just put the tip of you-know, in the eye of Yaba... What even.. Why? Yaba, why were you even allowing it?? I know you were drunk, but still.. And let's not ignore how Yiseok (ML) made molds of his tongue and his you-know for Yaba to wear in his butt... Thank god Yaba didn't fell for that.
Also, the audacity the ML has:
"No matter what happens, don't give up on me. Turn a blind eye to whatever I've done. Because without you, I..." Yaba stared at his lips without even blinking. "I'll go crazy"
Sir, you were the actual owner of Paradiso.. You were also the reason why Kang Giha put explosive gps chips inside there heads.. And just a heads-up, no need to worry to about going crazy, you already are <3.
Oh, there is also one chapter about the POV of the snake. That.. that was something as well..
I think I've complained enough. Next, I will try and complete "Welcome to the Dream World". This time for real! Just a little bit over 10 chapters left ^^.

So... I'm at chapter 43.2 and I think I'm done with most of the story and now I'm just reading the aftermath / extras? On NU it says 74 chapters.. 5 volumes and 2 extras. Do what you want with all that information I guess XD. By the way, I will talk about spoilers.
Anyway. I'm a bit conflicted about the story. It is also definitely not a story for everyone. a lot of stuff is mentioned in it.. Incest, noncon, alcohol, drugs, mentioning of necrophilia, small bit cannibalism.. You name it and maybe it's there :')..
Aside from that. ML is just trash.. His introduction already started not so great for him. We meet him in the club, which is known to satisfy their customers sexual, weird ass, kinks (like the necrophilia). He's drunk and everything, being enamored with one of MC's colleagues. He's trying to kill of his brother by using MC. He's a rich son of a conglomerate and can just do shit without really getting punished (he does get stabbed at one point tho.. but that's because of a whole different reason). The intimate scenes between MC and ML also give me the ick.. They don't feel great and feels like ML force himself most of the time.. Feels bad that MC is so obsessed with him.. The MC even eventually kinda brushes off that ML is a necrophile..
Talking about MC, I like him. He's really interesting and really needs help. Very mentally ill. Kidnapped at a young age, castrated, abused. Getting drugged by his shitt-ass boss under the camouflage off: "they're antidepressants" they were not. One of the few things ML did great was switching those 'antidepressants' with candy. Small confession: It is kinda funny and sad how MC sometimes play with his empty scrotum like a fidget toy :').
Eh,, I could talk more about it, but I kinda don't want to :').. Definitely a kind of novel I won't pick up often. It's still interesting tho, but it was kind of a lot? I should go back to my Unlimited Flow stories hehe.
Maybe I'll talk a little bit about it when I completely finish the novel ^^

Ahh, let me try and write about the novels when I'm currently reading them. Maybe that way, I can talk a bit more about them.
I started this one somewhere this week... I thought: Oh a novel with less than 100 chapters. Cool a "quick" read. The chapters are split up in multiple parts and I believe the fan-translation has 200+ chapters? It is not a quick read :').. Currently I'm at 12.1.
Let's see if I can explain this one without too much spoilers. I feel like this one is a bit more on the heavier side than other novels I've read. The story is about healers. Healers are people who can heal people with their singing. There is this characters called Giha.... Kang Giha I believe. Anyway, Kang Giha kidnaps people (I say people, but I noticed there are only boys) who he thinks is one and castrate them. Who needs balls anyway I guess.. But he does that so they don't hit puberty 'n loose their boy-ish voice. He's wrong about the boys being a healer most of the time.. But that's the fate of Sejin (and some other boys).
Sejin is a bit of a difficult character to explain without much spoiler.. But he's going through some stuff to say the least.
I am invested in this story. Some parts are a bit difficult to understand because the structure of the sentence is a bit unusual for me. I also noticed that in some sentences the he/she is wrong.. So I'm suspecting it being a edited version of a mtl. But it's still a good read I think ^^

Welcome to the Dream World
So tired of my brain not being able to remember things correctly.. Again, another one where I took a break from...not really because I lost interest in, but more because the rate of new translated chapters got high and I couldn't keep up. As a result, it's been a while and I have ~30 chapters left to read with little bits of memory about what happened.
Funny thing (well not really), I thought I already posted something about it. I thought: Oh, let me read my own unreliable review kinda thing.. Well, unreliable it was, cuz there was nothing.
Anyway, 147 chapters + 3 extras. I'm at 115. I will be done when I post this, I'm just writing some bits in advance ^^.
Narrator: She lied. She won't post it when it's done. It's been weeks, even months since she made this draft and even forgot she had this draft. So she's posting it despite not having finished the novel yet.
I don't even know how to properly explain the plot (beware for spoilers).. it's not really a typical unlimited flow.. They're still alive and in the real world. They can enter the dreamworld and participate in instances. I can't remember if they're forced to do so... I believe they can chose something themselves, but after a certain time they just get yeeted in one, but I could also be confused with another story...
Anyway, they get prices, they can alter their strength etc., and some kind of items (For example: a card that makes you for x amount of time invisible). But all those things can be used in the real world as well.
Every player has their own advisor? Not sure how they're called.. Guide? I think guide is better..
Narrator: They are called Guides ^^.
I could try and explain further, but I don't wanna ruin the plot. Oh by the way, this is a danmei and MC is a prisoner on the run and ML is some kind of mad scientist who is a bit possessive... Could be wrong.. the story also has a comedic undertone, but I didn't really have trouble with that with this one. Wait, would my unreliable review bits become a little bit more reliable it I tell more about the genres.. or a link to the novelupdates site...
Narrator: She will eventually finish the novel in the future. But for now, she's to busy reading other stuff in stead of finishing the ones she already started <3

Free Ren Yigu
Finished this one this week ^^. It is a little bit different than the ones I usually read. Aside from really short (12 chapters + 3 extras), the story is written from a 1st person view. It kinda reads a bit like some kind of diary? But there is still dialogue. I believe the 3 extras are more like a 3rd person perspective. 1st person is not really my first choice to read, but I’m kinda interested in stories where mental illness plays a part and this one seemed interesting?
The story has also a comedy tag (which I didn’t realised) so I couldn’t really take the story serious. Well, I could, but I couldn’t feel sad about how the MC worded things :’).
He looked at me and said, “I w-will. Protect you. I like. Y-you.” I think Xue Yaozu wants to scam me out of one of my kidneys.
I.. Some things just appear so randomly. I don’t have words for it. I now Paranoia is a serious things, please don’t get me wrong! I did liked he story. Not sure if MC ever managed to cure his paranoia. Story didn’t get that far (or I didn’t realize it.) To be honest, I don't even know how to explain what the story is about.. Hmm, I guess a short look in the life of Ren Yigu?

Been a while. Still don’t know how to properly start these posts.. I think I finished this one a few weeks ago. But it’s been age since I started it. I think I started it around the same time as I started Saye. Which might have been 2 years ago? The translation finished a few weeks ago with the last Extra ending quite abruptly. Not sure why.. Anyway, the story has 106 chapters + 3 extras (with the last one being short).
The unreliable review is going to be strong with this one. I don’t know how to properly explain this one. Not the story’s fault! 100% my fault. I loved the story. Just your “usual” danmei about two guys meeting each other. Having a rough start but ending with loving each other quite a lot. Both have quite some issues and they deserve a hug. They’ll probably get a lot of hugs from each other tho.. They don’t need me for that :’)
Haven’t read a lot of danmei the past few weeks/months tho.. Recently I did caught up with Painting of Terrors again ^^. I also really should continue with Erha. The 8th volume arrived last week, but I’m still at the beginning of volume 6 :’).. Oops.
Oh! I did started a short story last night. It’s called “Free Ren Yigu” and it has 15 chapters. I am at chapter 7 and I am enjoying it ;d. Might finish it today even. But that’s going to be a different post ^^.

I need to throw this out somewhere. so. Hi. Probably not going to be the most optimistic post.. As usual I guess. But anyway
Being an adult sucks. Being an adult with fear of phone calls sucks even more. Especially if you mention it to some people and they just keep calling you instead of answering their damn e-mail. Being an adult with having no clue what's wrong with my brain ain't helping either. Is it adhd? autism? I don't know. Never being diagnosed. Not going to self-diagnosing either. I am on a waiting list..
Having to search for work while not knowing what you want sucks as well. Especially if most job want you to have a specific degree as well.
Miscommunication sucks as well. One day you're wondering when you get information. Or wondering if you'll get invited for a job interview or not. And suddenly everything just happens all at ones. Your document arrives, you get invited to make a photo for the company card and you get a call with: "You're starting Monday, right? ;D". What do you mean, I start next Monday? When did that happen? My planning for today did not included all this crap. This is too much..
The most "fun" thing is. People want you to mee the deadline. Or keep them up to date on stuff. But those same people won't do the same thing. "Oh yeah, I set up a meeting for you tomorrow with a person I won't say the name off. Forgot to inform you". Then, we went there and our meeting wasn't even registered in their system. "Who's the name of this person en when was this meeting planned?" Good thing that person who set up the meeting came with me, because I did not have a name and apparently the meeting was planned 2 to 3 weeks earlier..
I'm getting tired in doing my best. It feels like I'm not getting rewarded for it. I know you should do things for your own good. But it would feel nice if I get acknowledge for it or something..
Anyway, I'm done for today. Going to play some games to give my brain some peace of mind.

Guardian
It took me a while, bit I managed to finally finish Guardian. Probably due to reading the books when they came out, I forgot a lot about the story. One day, I will re-visit the books so I can read them in one go-ish. There are three books. Can't read them all without sleep hehe.
I liked the story, but I also have a weakness for creatures in stories. My first story of Priest I finished to be honest. I tried Silent Reading, but it didn't stick.. But it's getting an English physical, so I might try again.
Hmm, how should I describe the story without too much spoilers. Zhao Yunlan is the chief of The Special Investigations Unit. I believe 'normal' people don't know about it. They investigate cases that are too bizarre for the police. Somewhere along the way they meet Shen Wei and things happen.
It was a lovely read ^^.

Tired. Wanting to write about the lovely novels I've read. Even though I haven't read a lot these last few weeks. Apparently my last post was just a month ago. Seems like a lie. For sure it has to be longer? Trying to at least keep up with the translations with the novels I already started. Just ignore how I'm behind with it.. I am getting back into anime again tho. Not sure if I want to talk about those. There is a lot.. One of the anime (or donghua more like) I watched this year is the 3rd season of mdsz and everything from tcgf. Really makes me want to read the books of those two as well. Need to finish my other books first tho.. Still need to finish the 3rd book of Guardian and start reading the 6th book of 2ha.
Hmm, I'll get there eventually. I'm done rambling for now. Never been the most social person. See you next time ^^

Let Me Live!
Hehe, this time I did finish the novel. I should pay more attention to the tags, because I was nog expecting the Time Travel, even though it is mentioned on NU. Nothing wrong with Time Travel, but boii at a certain point my brain is having trouble.
I feel like at the last couple of chapters it was rushed? I don't hate the ending, but I feel it's lacking.. It is a happy ending, but you don't get to enjoy it (: . I would love to have some extra's for this story.
I still recommend it tho ^^

Kaleidoscope of Death
Had a little bit more time than I thought, so I'm here again. I just like yapping about things. To be honest, these 'reviews' are more for myself XD. They're still unreliable tho.. But good enough for my peanut brain. But hey, if they're helpful for y'all as well, cool! How tho.
Anyway. Kaleidoscope of Death. This one is also licensed for an English release ;d. There is also a drama adaptation of it by the name Spirealm. I watched that one a few weeks/months ago. Most of my memory of the novel is from the drama... I will re-read it when I have my physical copy! (Same with TEIO).
I liked both the novel and the drama, but I have to say that I much prefer the ending of the novel. Didn't like the one from the drama at all... It was an happy ending I guess? But it was fake? It's also a bit difficult to explain. Because I have to explain both the novel and drama.. There are quiet some difference..
In the novel, people who are about to die, have the chance to see a door which they can go through. They have to find a key in that door and escape. They have to do that multiple times and tada, they'll live. Something like that. In the drama, the doors are a part of a vr-game. There is a whole organization in the drama that doesn't exist in the novel. The drama is also missing some doors and there are some characters that exist in the drama and not in the novel and also vice versa.
Oh another thing that I missed in the drama, but it's kinda understandable. In the novel, their whole appearance chance inside of the doors of the novel. In the drama they keep it. The ML likes to cross-dress inside of the doors, so he appears as a regular girl inside of them.
I think that's about it? I'm done yapping <3

The Earth is Online
Let's talk about something I've read a good while ago. I think this is the first Unlimited Flow (or at least one of the first) danmei I've read. Followed by me going into a rabbit hole and kept reading Unlimited Flow danmei (or ones that are close to it).
Unfortunately, I can't say a lot about the story. It's been a while and I think we all know by now how poopoo my memory skill is. But I believe in this one, a lot of the bosses in the instances are related to fictive characters. I believe Snow White & The Match girl are making a presence and also Santa..
Tang Mo nodded. "Everyone has a food they hate. I can understand. For example, I hate coriander." Fu Wenduo was surprised. "You hate coriander?" Tang Mo wondered, "Do you hate it too?" "No, I like it very much." Tang Mo, "...." He suddenly thought about braking up.
Boii, do I hope I got the right story with the right title XD. I do like the dynamic between the characters as well ^^. Recently the novel got licensed. Can't wait to have my own English copy in my hand ^^.

Let Me Live!
Hehe. Don't worry, I haven't finished it yet. I think I still have.. Wait, how many do I have left? Let me look.. A little bit over 20, and some chapters are split up as well.
Beware for spoilers!
So, since last time, I was wondering what was wrong with Hai Ri. Let me check if I even got his name right... I got it right!! Anyway. I was right about something. He was send to heal Sheng *checks name* Canyang. I knew that. But I was wrong about everything else.. No split personality or chronical liar. Just a dude who got his memories sealed with some fake memories implanted. Also, the poor guy did not f-ed himself, he got send to his death, just so he could be a protector of the world where they're in.
Hai Ri was a Protector, who had an innate appeal to all patients with mental health conditions. All of them would wish to receive Hai Ri's help and subconsciously approach him.
I still like this story and I'm really curious how the supposed Happy Ending is going to happen, because so far I have no faith in it. The 2nd world collapsing... Protectors who die are not send back to earth, they're just gone forever.

Let Me Live!
Why finish something I'm currently reading, when I can start something else and later complain about how I don't remember the story of the other ones <3?
I do love reading Unlimited Flow, and I kinda like reading about characters their shitty mental health healing. So, I'm reading this one. Don't know if the characters heal at the end, but I saw (I believe) that it has a Happy Ending. Not sure what that means. Is it happy for me or them? This novel is quiet different. Just a trigger warning, I'll be mentioning suicide & depression etc.
So, most of the time, people in Unlimited flow die to some reason, get to a world to participate in instances in order to go back to life. Well, this is the opposite. People who commit suicide (and do it with the intention of it) get to this world. They have to earn points to actually die. If they loose all their coins or if they die in the instances, they get send back to life.
The characters are living in a hotel and they are divided on floor depending on their reasons for suiciding. Be it mental illness, money, physical illness etc. Our MC is the mental illness department and I just want to know what's wrong with him. It's pretty clear for the ML, but the MC... Split personality? Chronical liar (The way he's spouting bs a lot of the time XD)? Depression? Amnesia? Everything above? Or is he just send there to heal ML?
It's also quiet refreshing reading where the characters (especially MC) talks a lot. This story also uses a lot of slang, I will like an old granny learning about the things young people are into currently. Gonna write that down in my journal! This granny is learning a lot.

The Days I Clear Escape Games Pretending to be an NPC
Finished this one last week, or the one before that.. I can't remember.. Long live the poopoo brain! Because I was reading the previous post I wrote about it and... What was I on about? Forget unreliable review, it's non existent at this point. I still liked this novel tho. Just trust me on that one XD. I can't save the review on this one. In the previous post I was talking about how the 'monsters' were part of a story? What story? I don't know about that.. I was also talking about that it was the 5th instance.. I can't remember what the 5th instance was.. I just looked and saw it was named "Nobody Knows" and I find it quiet fitting.
Anyway, I recommend the novel. Can't say much about it due to poopoo brain.
