Malevolent modern (or near future, maybe 2030s?) au where Arthur is blind after an accident (which also kills Parker) and John is some kind of ai voice assistant that Arthur buys so he can have a voice in his earphone describing everything to him as an aid, but obviously turns out to be terribly cursed for whatever reason (idk why yet, maybe it's an evil virus like xana from code lyoko, maybe it's a soul trapped in a software/device??), and yet they have to work together and develop a relationship.

is that a good idea or is it dumb lol

if i wrote it (which i can't guarantee i will) i think the tone i would go for would be still kinda horror but more sci-fi than eldritch/fantastical (could maybe the dreamlands be some kind of virtual world?); but i'm thinking this might also work as a more comedic thing?? i'm not sure

(also if this already exists pls send it to me!! i've scrolled for a bit on ao3 through the malovelent fics tagged as "alternate universe - modern setting" and i don't seem to find anything with this concept, but maybe i missed something or it's somewhere else or someone wrote it but didn't post it - if that's you i'd love to read it hehe)

Hey everyone, I know it's going to be a busy day for a lot of people, but Google enrolled everyone over 18 into their AI program automatically.

If you have a google account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off.

Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.

Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.

I saw this over on bluesky and figured it would be good to spread on here. It only takes a few minutes to do.

Anyways, not to get personal on my fandom tumblr, but Hera Wolf 359's glitchy voice and the way it was addressed in the series is probably the only time I've actually felt represented by a fictional character as someone who's dealt with a speech impediment for most of my life. IDC if it was intentional or not, I love her for it.
