I made myself an Enjolras doll base so I could put different outfits on him. What do you like best? The Baguette outfit is from the video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a French game made by a French studio which is very good and I recommend.

hallooooo!! just finished sobbing over drink to forget, looked at the art- nd noticed enjolras looks VERY familiar. if that makes sense. do you follow a reference for either of the characters? he looks a lot like my family friend (played enjolras professionally) so im just curious to see if theres an enjolras archetype or anything thats recognisable in the face of both or if you do follow a reference of sort. But now I just have a specific essence of them in my head that doesn't look like the actors anymore and just is them. I've been drawing them for 12 years so I don't need anything but what's in my head when it comes to drawing their faces. Sometimes it's hard for me to translate exactly what I see in my mind but I think these examples do a good job of it.

Enjolras I imagine to have this more feminine face on top of a strong bone structure but it's hard for me to get across sometimes because my style is often...goofy? I feel? For example you mentioned the Drink to Forget and I feel like those are a bit off from what I imagine. But I think these above are nice in terms of trying to show how he feels in my head. And my Grantaire is just my Grantaire I think I can usually hit the mark with him because for me he's like goofy and cute at the same time and that works fine in my style.

I do use references from time to time, but it's usually on a very loose basis. For example with this one I used one just to get the angle of the face right. But he looks nothing like the model from the pic I was looking at.

Just want to mention I’m already quite a bit into chapter 1 of my next fic and also currently making new Enjolras art (not fic related) as well. I’m excited to show y’all both these things but of course I have quite a bit of work on both before they’re ready. I’m so antsy to share things again because it’s so quiet when you’re not posting actively. I want to throw things at y’all so you can hopefully enjoy them 👀 Creation takes time but I’m excited for the day I can share 💖

Ugh nevermind about this. They’ve found out that the scrapers were able to take locked fics too so it doesn’t even matter. At least AO3 is trying to take legal action against them but v_v

The whole concept of what’s going on right now with how artists and writers are being treated like fodder really makes me feel like not creating. Definitely has cooled my jets for the moment. I’m still working on my next story but definitely with less enthusiasm at the moment. 🫠

Hi! Just wanted to say that I recently read “The Corinthe School for Boys” and I loved it, so thanks really! It lightened the days I spent reading it, got me laughing alone and smiling at the cute moment between Enjolras and Grantaire. Since I already got asked, yes my next fic will be Priestjolras :) I already have my next two fics planned out haha. I just need a little bit of a break and hopefully I can sort of recharge although who knows how soon the brainworms will need to be extracted. I’m sort of terrible at relaxing, I always feel like I constantly need to be productive and get things out of my head.

I’m also starting to rp with @shamedumpster which is exciting, I’m hoping some fun art will come out of that haha. I’m already excited about the scene I wrote last night.

I wonder if writing is like art, do people improve in writing by just writing all the time? I’m not sure it works like that but I hope it does.

This fic is actually about having a first boyfriend in high school and coming out and such. Very fluffy.

Enjolras from my fanfiction What Fine Marble, an Enjoltaire take on the Greek myth Pygmalion and Galatea (sculpture comes to life). I recently reread it and it gave me some fuzzy feelings. It's in my opinion one of my best fics and I really recommend people give it a try if you haven't read it! I don't think I'll achieve that kind of poetic ability again haha. I'm imagining this to be from that one nighttime scene...

hiii i just wanted to say that ever since i joined the les mis fandom about a year ago now (which seems like forever to me but is probably nothing to you LMAO), i’ve admired you and your works from afar— the corinthe school for boys is still one of my favorite les mis works and i’m always rereading it and looking through the art for it for the billionth time! i always thought that maybe you were just disconnected from the fandom since most of your popular posts were from ages ago— plus, at the time, your last les mis post was from a couple of years ago, lol. but now you’re back! and it’s honestly so surreal because in a lot of the fandoms i’ve joined, i’ve joined ever-increasingly late and les mis is no exception 😭 but there’s always that one artist/writer that i think i’ll never get to talk to, and this time i can! so hi! i love your art and your writing, i’m glad you’re still posting and i hope you continue to do so!

Ohhh thank you so much, this is so sweet to hear!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed Corinthe School for Boys :O <3 It's one of my faves that I've written so it makes me happy that it makes you happy!! I think I was away for a while for a few reasons, mainly of which was struggling with hand pain from drawing but also just not feeling inspired to write or draw much. But now I seem to have a renewed vigor to keep myself mentally in check by using my art and fic writing for escapism and it's honestly been a good thing. And strangely it seems like my hand has gotten stronger so fingers crossed that it stays that way! (As for my popular posts being ages ago I'm sure that will stay that way too haha, I don't think the fandom is big enough for things to be passed around that much anymore.)

I'm very happy you wrote in and am glad to hear from you! I just went and looked at all your art and I think it's really nice to see how you've grown over time :D Keep up the great work! Ever since I heard the Hunchback of Notre Dame musical, I wanted to draw Enjolras singing Phoebus's solo from the finale. Finally nine years later I've finally taken the time to draw it. Hugo musicals colliding, it's funny to me that two musicals based on Hugo's work are are like my top two musicals of all time. Here is a link to the song if you'd like to hear it. The solo in question is at 3:12 on that track. And if you've never listened to the album run and do it! It's based on the Disney movie with the Disney songs but is much more serious and mixes in more of Hugo's vision into it. It's wonderful.

Love reading ur fics because normally with reading fics I have my Base Les Amis which I then modify based on descriptors in the fic, but your enj and R are THEE E + R like, the base paper doll who's traits are changed out looks like how you draw them, so I never have to modify much because in the end the original base model exr is just Your Art

Aw thank you so much!! I appreciate that you enjoy picturing my designs as your Enj and Grantaire! I’m so very fond of them. It almost makes me wish sometimes my Grantaire was an OC because that’s my boy, that’s my little boy right there. Although I guess I still made him as he is haha, it’s not like Hugo had any part in that.

Also I wanted to mention that in my fics I actually have made an effort, at least recently, to not describe more than their hair because I want people to be able to imagine some of their own headcanons if they want when they read (like not mentioning skin or eye color if I don’t need to.) But hair to me is my favorite feature (can you tell from my art?) so I can’t resist haha.

I hope you enjoy reading the new fics! As I mentioned a few posts ago somewhere making all this stuff this is my new coping mechanism but I’m really feeling good about that too. It’s nice to be doing art regularly and feeling creative again. And this is odd and knock on wood, but for some reason my hand isn’t hurting as much as it has (if you’ve been around a while you may have seen me posting about how much drawing hurt my hand which is why I stopped for a long while.) So hopefully I’m getting better/stronger as well.

I feel like I have too many ideas in my head and it’s hard to juggle them all which tbh is a good problem to have. Yesterday after I drew all my lord of the rings au pics in a row and posted them I immediately switched to writing in my next chapter of my fic lol. My brain won’t give me a second to calm down, I dunno what’s going on but it’s interesting.
